Aloha!
Can anyone explain? The CVT in both are pretty much the same, so if I let off the gas in a GY6 why does it start engine braking and when I do the same on a 2T it just keeps coasting?

A 4stroke has a dead stroke where the exhaust gas is dumped and intake of fresh mixture is charged,so it fires every other stroke..A 2stroke fires every stroke so there is no drag during coasting..Got it?I'd rather have the later and use my brakes to stop..

Makes sense. Having a big case breather seems to help a heck of a lot too.
