Brent, I've been obtaining alot of info from this board so if you need a stock carb I will send you one. I now have two. The scrappy 100 came with a the same carb that's on my 49cc. I swapped out the 49 and ran the 100 completely stock for comparison and a sarting point before mods. The 49 would hit 45 GPS at 10,000RPM and the 100 runs 52 GPS stock at 6800RPM running the stock 49 exhaust. I pulled the exhaust, cut it in half, stripped out some internals and welded it back. It's a little more free flowing and louder but no difference in performance. I did a quick gear ratio check, it's 10.1:1 ish. Started planning out the build and fabbed a couple of pieces. Seriously considering the liquid cooled. Curios as to the power robbed from spinning the water pump versus the fan?
Back to the carb. If you want it you're welcome to it. Send your ship to address to lauderdaleboats@aol.com and I'll get it mailed to you.
Chris.

52MPH at 6800RPM. lol That's the true beauty of the "big blocks". Yer gonna have to start a whole thread to dedicate to your project soon. ;D
Not really sure about losses on a fan vs a pump. I'm pretty sure what the liquid cooling is capable of would more than make up for it, even if it does take a little more to turn.
PM sent. Thank you! ;D

I never could figure out the design of the big Mina heads, what the heck is it supposed to do? :stumped:

I know the first time I showed that to Reg he seemed to think it was designed to trap end gases and encourage detonation. lol

Looks like I should have most of the parts covered, thanks to our members. Some even donated parts! Thank you all! ;D
This is not gonna be a quick swap as I originally thought, so I'm gonna get some compressed gasket material and make sure this thing has a base gasket. I'll have to redo the specs if it doesn't have one. Hopefully it doesn't, cause I don't believe that compression is stock.
I also looked back to when I first got T2 and it did not have 4g rollers like the 49cc. I'm gonna see if I still have those rollers to use them or at least get their weight. I wanna make sure it's got the 90cc contra as well, it felt awfully easy to compress. Doing my best to make this thing start out stock... well, other than oil injection... screw that. lol

I cleaned up the CVT, installed a stock fan, and 4g rollers. I think 4g was stock in my 90cc, but I'm gonna look back and see if I can find out for sure. Trying to get it as close to a stock setup as I can. 4g on a 90 sure seems light to me for stock. Contra should be stiffer than a 50 too it seems to me thinking engine torque and potential belt slip. :stumped:

165psi cranking compression. I get the feeling there's detonation in my future. Re: That unusual head design. The only thing I can think that that design might achieve is kind of a double combustion event or in other terms an extended combustion event. I.e, the combustibles residing on the far side of the smooth circular protuberance from the spark plug are ignited kind of as a secondary event as crank revolution makes them available to the initial flame front. :stumped: I welcome any discussion to the otherwise. I've tried to find something on this peculiar design but have failed to do so. :help:

I haven't got out to find and measure my stock 90cc weights, but yes they are heavier than 4g. 4g is what I swapped in first on my first 90, but not what it came with. The stock contras are stiffer, though I feel often unnecessarily. The Venus is using a 49cc contra (IIRC) along with 9.5g sliders to keep the revs down. No issues with slip, can still transfer enough power to snatch the wheel up a little. I'm gonna change this one anyway if it's not a 90cc style. I'll show you a pic of 49cc vs 90cc if I remember. But yeah, someone needs to tell the snow that it's spring and it's supposed to be 60 degrees not 30. lol Then I'll get back to work.

I looked in Bell's and Blair's books and found no mention of this head design either. Its strange that only the 90cc type engines have this,I know they tend to spark knock,so perhaps this is a design to help this problem with low octane fuels..

Thank you. That sounds about right. I'll check my old ones still, just for more info.
