I love 'homebrew' projects a bunch, but most of the time a "turn key" kit costs less in the long run and all of the pitfalls are already eliminated once the project is done.I think you made the right choice, now we MUST copy it!!

O yeah :riding: !Its been brought up but i think the rear pulley is the real key to getting killer takeoff. I will post some numbers after some more testing and tuning. It was really windy here yesterday so anything but a 0-30 test would altered. Hopefully i can get some seat time in tomm. (today)?.

With OR kit it feels like there's a new smaller gear to play with. That's the main difference I noticed.
I have to use Doppler S2BR vario with Malossi OR rear pulleys (want to keep the electric start). It's the same as Malossi's MHR but the drive ramp has different angle.
You might want to make the rear pulleys open a bit further. You will notice a difference with top speed.
The Or fits nicely inside the cover but when driving the belt will hit. Found that out in the hard way.

Thanks for the tips ;D! I already have pretty short gears in the trans but you are right, they are even shorter and deeper out of the hole now :thumb: .

I honed my first minarelli cylinder today. I just did a stoker for the practice and it turned out real nice i think. Thanks for the tips on hones 90GTVert! The 240 grit is just right after a few good passes.
Got a stroker in the works for this race season! Hopefully i dont get heatstroke and i have my scooter tuned better this year! Ide love to bring home a win or ten? Maybe even a trophy for the shop? That,d be cool!! Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks Goosey, i will drink plenty of water and do my best . Now i gotta turn this mess into a stroked mina big block and have it tuned and tested before race season . Thats the plan anyway Look how bad the trans was  Anyone need a good slightly used vari? I got this mess of a motor in a scooter i bought for parts. I engine is a mess! I pretty sure it was under water..?. The crank is stuck and it need completely rebuilt, so what better way to do it than to make it bigger :thumb: .

Here is the rest of the scooter. I gotta say, this sucker went to good use! The plastic is being used. The seat went to a person that needed one. The wheels are on Skeedr. And the motor is being rebuilt into a 103cc. I even used the belt, believe it or not! Im nuts but it measured out nice and i couldnt help it. It held firm, I love Bando belts lol

Here are a few pics of the crank im going to use. Im still not sure about the bore size im gonna choose. Im still not set on the class i want to run? I gotta make up my mind soon tho! Much better over OEM style cranks for sure...You can barely see were the big end bearing would get oil on a OEM one. Its cut well on this one. Much beefier rod end. Did you guys run with the bearings that came with the crank or get different ones?

I also got my new shock on. I like this one. Its from Autotech355 on ebay. I had to trim some material off the bottom end to make it fit the case well w/out binding. Sorry, no after pics. It works very well! MUCH stiffer than OEM, and even stiffer than my Prodigy shock i was using. I had to loosen it all the way for me @155lbs. I lowered the front of my scoot 3/4inch as well. Im thinking about going more to keep from wheelying so easy?

I used the bearings that came with the crank. Not enough miles to tell you much. It hasn't failed in maybe 10 miles yet, so that's good. lol
Nice shock.

Well hell, you might as well shoot for some crazy revs... like 20,000! :jaw: OK, maybe not that much. If it can make 100 miles it'll have a very long life for you. :thumb:

Eewwy, im sure glad this motor is getting a second chance. The crank was stuck in this one and i can see why after getting it apart My puller i MIA so i borrowed a couple off of shakerdriver (thanks Jason) but didnt have any luck with em so i used a hammer and smacked the crank outta the cases. If anyone does it this way just be careful not to hit the cases. Now, lets make the big crank fit
