I just put in a hd stroker crankshaft to help support my 100cc bbk and other upgrades. I have an A9 camshaft, 19mm carb and 50mm head. Since I put on the crank, I've been having what I can only describe as a heavy vibration. I can feel it through the seat and in my handlebar assembly. I have 6.5gram variator weights. I get to about 8000 during takeoff then it stays around there until 42 mph or so GPS verified. Any ideas or experience with a vibration like this? It is not my brakes, axle or axle bearings. Feels more engine related. Maybe it is normal with the new crank and bbk, but just wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!

You could try removing the variator and running it up to RPM on the center stand to see if the vibration is still there. If it disappears with the CVT disengaged you may need to look at the CVT components, gearbox, and wheel/tire. If not, make sure it doesn't look like your crank is spinning out of round.

Could be your crank is not balanced I have had the same problem with a brand new crank had to return it. Also could be your rollers are not equal, check the weight of them

Problem started after you installed new crank. Am I missing something here? ?recheck your install , flywheel , variator , etc. Then suspect wompussed crank?

crank is unbalanced, is it a cheapo chinese crank or a taiwan like NCY or Hoca? the larger stroke cranks work best with the 52mm pistons, it is more balanced for weight vs the 50mm piston.

It's a Naruka 44mm HD crank. $149. It sounds like it was good quality.

Naraku does make good quality. when you installed the crank did you tap it into place or did you heat the block and cool the bearing on the crank?

Most chinese scooters vibrate anyway so if it is not bad i wouldn't worry. if it is enough to vibrate stuff loose i would try to balance it. mine is the only china scoot i ever rode that didn't vibrate, feels like a Harley idling but no vibration moving.
