I think I will try that dexameth. My reasoning was after swapping carbs over on the80 and 70cc barrels both with a 50cc head and extra base gasket the compression was just to high. My reckoning on that was I got my sons one running his being 80cc kit but with a 80cc head as well with the same carbs I used on mine. Lesson learned I thought, but I do remember it started much better with a car battery and jump leads.😊 Try it I shall the force is with me

Snow on the ground so no work today. Swapped rings and piston, new cage bearing, and clips, fought with reeds, and eventually got a good seal. Got a few.pips, some fire and a bit of smoke (no pipe, haven't installed it yet...) No start, but it wants to. This Beamer is pissing me off....
I had to stop for the night, or I'd have set it on fire....

Snows gone. Mixed emotions. Guess the only thing I'll do to the bike today is mentally cuss at it... And audibly.

Over the last couple of days. Changed the throttle cable to a one piece design. Junked the cheap 17.5mm carb. It never seemed to work as good as it should. Back to an old 12mm carb I had laying around. Definitely a loss of top end power. But it's my ride to work scoot. Noticed today that old carb bowl was leaking. Changed out the gasket for a new one. On reinstalling the carb it overflowed. Once I took it off again. I noticed the needle valve was sticking shut. Replaced with another from a different carb. Fitted the new rear brake cable.

(Yesterday) rode my scooter like 60 miles to help a friend with his Elite E. Needed to get it running before Valentine's Day so I figured I could help him out. The dang replacement carburetors have the autoenricher on the right side which contacts the rear shock. The stock carb had the enricher needle stuck in, so I rebuilt that stock carb with all the internals from the new carb. First install - the needle stuck and leaked everywhere. Whoops! Pulled a tiny little metal flake out of the needle seat, refitted and all was well.
Had to hold WOT while kicking over and over to get it to fire, but it did! Said it sat for years and was a freebie. Opened the CVT to find a single-speed design (no variator) so we worried it would be a turtle.
This this rips! Takes off kinda like a 2-speed moped... gets moving then rpms drop and it feels like a mini bike because of the gearing. I sill go it up to about 25mph and quick at that too! Makes me sad I got rid of mine a few years ago...
He's happy, it was fun, and now his girl can cruise around. Win!

where do you get specs on what the oil levels should be in these little forks? Pulled my forks apart to clean and replace oil. Added a few washers of preload and when with 15wt this time. Note to self stay out of the salt water at the beach. upload hoster ru photo
