I know I am asking a lot of questions. Does anyone know who to tell the amount of teeth a oil pump has in order to put on a new crankshaft? It's either 16 or 22. I will wait until I get it running first but I want to order it now and the gears which I am not sure what size to get.

It's normal to take more turning of the throttle to move once you add stiff clutch springs. Gotta get RPM up so it will engage the transmission. Sorry the part I mean was that the pulley was very tight and hard to pull apart. That's because you have a 1500RPM contra spring in there. A lot of times going beyond 1000RPM contra means you're getting extra hassle with CVT service, but no benefit. I'm surprised 5g weights are working with the 1500. I am using 6-7g with a 1000RPM contra spring on a 49cc. What RPM are you seeing when you try to ride? My 2013 TaoTao has a 16T pump gear.

The problem I am having now is that when I get on the scooter and throttle, it barely moves then stalls. The a/f screw is set at about 3 1/4 and idles after warm up at 1500 rpms. I took the transmission cover off and the belt was in the pulley. I tried to separate the pulley to get the belt out but it wont budge. The whole transmission is brand new and is all Naraku V2. I am also using stock fuel lines which may be too small. I have a question. I see that a lot of people use uni filter types. If I put one on, what do I do with the hose that goes from the valve cover to the stock filter? I will get a air compressor and take apart my trans again but right now, I will down jet the main jet to 88 and see what that does. Thanks to all. why didnt you grab the belt and why was the belt down in the pulley? the hose from valve cover to air filter box is pcv i think. what belt are you using? maybe thats why when you try to take off it bogs if the belt sits down in the pulley that far.

I put in a 90 jet and a few of my sliders were not in correctly. I haven't tried it because I am still trying to find a good location for my mikuni fuel pump. I will try it tomorrow.

I have a 100cc bore kit. My Naraku clutch came with red springs and black rollers. I put in the yellow springs and torque spring with the sliders. Would you recommend that I do the blue contra and clutch springs? Also I need a air filter cause my box won't fit on my carb. If I get a uni filter or something like it, what should I do with the hose that goes from the intake to the box?

I also have one more question. Does it matter that the fuel pump is pulsed or not? What do you mean by this ? is the pump electric ?

You don't need to match clutch springs and contra springs. Use the contra spring that will allow you to get in tune with the rollers you have so RPM is good on accel and cruise. I prefer the softest spring that keeps the belt tight so there's no slip. Usually a 1000RPM spring (blue) will do it. For the clutch, use the springs that give you the best initial launch. I watch the CVT with the cover off so I can see if the CVT is shifting before the clutch engages. If the belt starts changing positions before the clutch starts to grab then try softer springs and if it's not moving you may be good to go with the current springs or able to use stiffer springs for a better takeoff.

I have the mikuni square pulse pump. I had to cable tie it to the frame so it wouldn't hit the seat when I put it in. I had some of the sliders in wrong and I think one fell out. I just looked at it and put them back in the right way. I am going to try riding it again and see. My belt is Naraku along with the rest of my transmission. I ordered the 1000 rpm torque spring. If it still doesn't move and stall out, then I will try putting in the heavier rollers. I will also clean and check my plug. I do need to ditch that airbox though. If I put in a uni filter then I am not sure what to do with the hose from the valve cover. I also was told to redo my valve clearances to .004" instead of .002".

OK I did the valves but don't like they sound of them ticking that loud. I put the feeler gauge after lining up TDC and tighten them until the gauge slides in and out kinda easily. I have heard on this board so many different settings. Now I started it up after fixing the sliders and putting in a 90 jet. I stood next to it and hit the throttle and it took off. I haven't sat and rode it yet but I will later and am hopeful. If it rides then I will do the plug and see. I don't see why I can't jet to 105 since I saw someone had almost the same setup as me and theirs ran fine. I don't think downjetting will hurt it as long as I don't go below 85 cause of the BBK. SO I will let the board know how the ride is later

Thanks to all that helped, my scooter is finally running. It does hesitate like sputtering a little but that might be from the air fuel screw. I think I need to adjust it as I do along. Ok now I have this loud ticking sound from under my transmission cover. I know it's not my valves even though there is some tapping. I will try to tighten my valves to .002 again since its a big valve head. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Thanks again to everyone. Also, does anyone have any suggestions about shocks? I live in Detroit and the roads are impossible to drive on without slowing down to an almost full stop at times?

Pope the cover off and take a look around. See if there appears to be contact anywhere. Starter bendid touching something, kick start not returning, etc... Sometimes the plastic guides on the ramp plate wear or break.
Search the length you need for the rear shock, center to center of each mount, on ebay and make sure the mounts are the correct style. Most of the adjustable shocks are a lot better than what's stock.
