I have a 2003 vento zip and the electric start has not worked in over a month. Checked almost every wiring and couldnt find anything missing or lose. Any ideas of what the problem could be?
Also all of my lights flicker and only work when the throttle is turned

Check with voltmeter if power is coming to it. If it does probably starter its self is dead. Try cleaning it or just change it.

Maybe battery or ignition is close to dying.

I juat replaced my ignition 2 days ago and bought a new battery like 2 months ago. When i replaced the battery the electric start did work until i dropped the scooter avoiding a crash. My battery still has 12.66 volts

Seams this just came up on another thread. If you dropped the bike check the brake lever switches.

This could be a clue to your problem "Also all of my lights flicker and only work when the throttle is turned" sounds like something is being rubbed or pulled

There are switches in or under the brake lever that activate the brake lights and allow the starter to be used when pulled. These are different from the starter button. They will have two wires running to them on each lever. Check those.

I wiped them off, and put them in and checked the plug-ins again and they were oily again. This supposed to be oily? Going to try sanding contact points here in a bit E/ sanded contact points, still not working. Any other things i can check? Thank u btw for all ur help guys

Does the starter kick over if you cross the two terminals of the relay? You can use a screwdriver's metal bit while you hold the insulated handle to try it. Don't touch anything but the two terminals (DEFINITELY DON'T TOUCH A GROUND WITH THE SCREWDRIVER). That will at least tell you if the battery and starter are doing alright. IF it cranks over fine doing this, continue investigating switches and wiring.
I wonder if your battery can handle load. Sometimes they look good at rest and then they aren't any good for actually powering things. The turn signals and horn should be DC so they should work just fine with the key on engine off if the batt is good and all wiring is OK. It's normal for headlights to flicker at idle because they're AC powered and there's not enough output at low RPM to illuminate them fully.

Thats how i have to start one of my mowers at work but i do it from.the starter. Do you have an answer to my problem now?

My answer now is one you don't want to hear probably... your battery and starter motor should be OK and you need to figure out the tougher stuff like if all the switches are working. Here's a diagram of a typical starting circuit. You can kinda work your way backwards and see where things start going wrong. See if there's a trigger signal getting to the relay. Should see 12V or near it on the little wiring going to it when all switches etc... are depressed and it should be trying to start. If no power there continue down the path. If there's power getting to the relay and it still does nothing then replace the relay.
