I did get a belt from john and it broke in about 700 miles. The Chinese belt sizes tend to be off in size. My original belt marked 792mm was 775mm and the replacement I got from john marked 792mm was 791mm. The width marked 16.6 was 15.5mm on original and 17.4 on the replacement. I also noticed that the replacement belt was hitting the top and bottom of the cvt cover.

I also noticed that the replacement belt was hitting the top and bottom of the cvt cover. have not been there in a while he used to have the original belt that came with my scooter which was a Mitsubishi belt and i never had a problem with those belts i had tried the polini belt at the beginning of march and worked really well for me ended up getting a new Mitsubishi belt from John when he got them in though, not sure if he still has them, i was having the same issue that you are every belt i tried would either break in a couple miles if they were real cheap or end up wearing out faster than normal and breaking, i put close to 1000 miles on the polini i did change it for the Mitsubishi belt when i got it, the polini still looked new when i changed it, looked like it did when i put it on so i kept it for a spare, it was wider than original but never had a problem with it hitting the cvt cover
