If it is opening too far, the slides will break quickly. Set the assembly on a flat surface and see if it is opening up past the metal part of the ramp plate.

is your belt got slack? if its broke nad hit metal to metal once, it starts digging a ditch in the variator and the slides will follow that and break. what made them break in the first place?

worn? why is it you guys go to every forum saying the same old crap that youve made up before. ive seen racing scooter and i guess we all should switch over to chains since these cvts cant handle all this awesome torque where throwing at them
id say if your clutch pads are worn your guides in teh variator are also around that time needing changed

Everything is new the entire transfer kit, yes the sliders disappeared and the back plate dug into the variator, Yea that's what I figured I have way to much tork and power, but I can put the stock variator in and it does fine I just don't like the way it's geared,I like the performance much better I went and bought another performance calorie but this time I have been checking it and sure enough it's eating up thee sliders on this one too sigh I wish they made a variator that can hold up

maybe you got cheap guides. once a variator takes metal to metal contact, they dig a ditch and the slides cant go up and down straight. its not flat anymore. theyll crack and break. and might take out your belt. teh variator doesnt have much in gearing. the gear would be the front pulley, back pulley. a pulley isnt a half a ramp. its v-belt. theres no angles. they have to match the belt. most of the angles are in the variator. and the ramp plate. i dont believe this story no longer. unless your using the wrong bikes variator. if your using a variator for a bike that has a 30 angle belt and your belt is 28, well that right there can cause problem. or even if you bought one, if these people been lying about what kind of variator you can use youll then notice theyll be for sale marked as that. you have toknow how they measure. measure them. know what bikes theyre from. then theyll never tell the truth theyll just lie.
