The kill switch I'd in the on position but when I try to stay it it acts like the kill switch is in the of position and just wins instead of staying but it ran beautifully the last time I rode it. ......I'm not sure if I turned it if with the kill switch or not to prevent my kids from trying to ride it

Need to pull the plug and see if there any spark there, if it has spark then move to the fuel system have you swapped the fuel petcock out with a manual shut off if it might be off.

try to kick start and see if it starts. check for spark and fuel, you should see fuel in the fuel filter. the kill switch will prevent spark, look at the pic above the switch and make sure it is not towards the one with the X. it is a good idea for the manual petcock, i will be installing one on mine, much better than the vacuum petcocks.
