Hey guys, i have a yamaha axis and just replaced the crankshaft and a few other parts. The problem is now it won't start after reassembling everything. I've tried everything i can think of. Any suggestions?

Low compression from a leak?

I removed the air filter and did that, but it didn't work either.

-carb is primed? -got spark? -no loose/leaking vacuum lines/connections?

But it could be low compression, because the crankshaft moves a little stiffly.

Yes as far as i know the carb works fine. I think the problem may be that fuel doesn't get into the cilinder, because the spark plug doesn't seem wet. Any suggestions on fixing that?

Did you feel a strong vacuum when you held your palm over the carb's inlet? Hand get wet with fuel?

No it wasn't that strong and i did feel a little fuel on my hand.

It could just be having trouble picking up the fuel. Some of them struggle on the first start and then start and run fine after they get going once. If holding the hand over doesn't work, sometime a quick shot of carb cleaner or starting fluid through the carb (throttle held open so you can spray through) will be enough to get it started.

I've just tried it with carb cleaner but it didn't start. I have noticed that there's no fuel coming in the cilinder.

If it's strictly a fuel issue it should start with carb cleaner acting as a temp replacement fuel. Verify that you have spark before going any farther. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LogSfY7NhkQ
