Tons of CVT tuning info to be found here! A popular setup seems to be: 5g roller weights, 1k contra, 1.5k clutch springs... of course everyone's setup is tuned to their individual liking. In 90GTvert's videos he shows how removing the "restrictor" washer from the variator can actually lead to worse takeoff (removing it forces your belt higher in the variator resulting in taking off in a "higher gear"). Tech section is invaluable!

Update for everyone.... I finally had some time to play with it. The RPMs are not going up. It is just real sluggish until I hit about 35mph.. Then it feels like you hit the nitrous button and it just wants to freaking go.... But getting to 35mph is not near the acceleration it should be. Belt is worn to about 16.1mm. That seems to have worn exceptionally fast. Also, it is not a big fan of hills. I think it comes down to tuning the CVT better. i was having a very similar problem not sure if it is the same for you after riding for a bit my scooter would no take off good and was sluggish and then take off, checked everything in cvt, ended up being my reed cage had a hairline crack in it after replacing it ran fine again worth a shot to check the reeds and cage.
