A sealer like those would be a good idea.

So frustrated now, just took her for a test drive and it now seems worse than before. Then of course my other carbs, jets and filter are back at the shop cuz I forgot to grab them. If I cant get it going with what I got back at the shop then Im gonna be selling it shortly. Then I can save for what I really want, a Grom.

Made some progress with it. Did away with the premix since I left the pump on the motor during the reseal. Threw the 17.5 mm carb on since it's the only one I have jets for and it just doesn't seem to like the stock or stock clone. Noticed it ran a bit differently after resealing and decking the reed cage. The carb no longer spits and I can get the motor it idle at 1000 rpm(stock spec is 2k). It would never idle that low before. So I've decided the issue was the tune. I went through the jets I have. The 90 that came in the carb would flood after riding for a bit and oddly enough you had to choke the intake to restart it. On the stand the rpms would cut out around 8500. Threw the 86 in it and it ran fairly well, still doesn't like to go over 7300rpm loaded but would hit 10k on the stand. Tossed the 82 in and it ran fairly well and would still hit 10.5k on the stand. Loaded it still doesnt want to go over 7300rpm, unless I hit a down hill and get over 8000 rpm (vario seems to lock around 8300rpm)then the rpms will climb up to around 9300rpm@44mph. So I've decided that my speed block issue is and has been in the cvt. I'm hoping that the malossi multi var kit will fix it.

Finally got the Malossi multi-var kit in an installed with the naraku HS half pully. The contra spring in the multi-var kit was a let down, even though it's longer than the stock spring it doesn't seem any stiffer and I had to remove the twist control so the pully would open fully. It is the softest spring malossi offers though. Also noticed the cvt still starts to shift before the clutch grabs. It is a bit quicker to get up to speed, seems to hold rpms more steady(by sound, gauge battery died)and a touch faster 35vs33mph. Still not quite happy though, I ordered a hoca 1500rpm spring and some 3g rollers from partsforscooters.com (rp can go do stuff with their slow shipping). I hope that those two will stop the premature shifting and get me in the power band.

Got the Hoca 1500 spring and the 3g rollers in today. Just what my Kymco wanted!! That brought the rpms up to 9.3k and eliminated the premature shifting. Swapped half the 3g rollers for some 6g to get the rpms down a bit! That did the trick, I'm accelerating around 8.2k. Fastest I've gotten on my test strip up till today has been 31mph. Did 42mph without any tuck in the same space on my first run with 4.5g. Now my feels like a Thanks for the help everyone!!
