Hello all! I was wondering if anybody could identify this weird contraption on my scoot. Just got this scoot a few days ago- it's a Roketa AIR R50. It has the 1e40qmb Minarelli 2t motor. This contraption is on the exhaust- there's a small pipe welded into the exhaust about 6" away from the cylinder exhaust port and the hose coming off of it goes into the air box. Is this "hot air injected"? I just saw a hot air injected scoot on here a few days ago and asked about it as it seemed strange to me. Now I think I have one too. I'm wondering if the idea behind this is for performance or emissions? Maybe it pushes un-used fuel back through the intake like a tuned pipe? My old 2t liked extra air flow and fuel from adding extra holes to the airbox and upjetting. This is a very strange part to me and any help to understand it is greatly appreciated! As always, THANKS!

No it doesn't send air to the air box it pulls ain into the exhaust for the cat converter so it doesn't plug up but it's has to be filtered because of the way a two stroke works
