Have a Retro-4 cycle 50 QT that is pumping oil from hose on the ground when running. Checked oil level again and empty. Filled and after a ride or two, did the same thing. Hose is from the front of motor. Wondering if this is a major or minor problem.  Would appreciate any in site to the problem! THANKS

This is more common on the 150cc engines..but when it occurs it is due to 'blow by' of the piston...rings or a combination of both. The compression stroke blows by the piston...where those gases go down into the crankcase. This pressurizes the crankcase forcing oil up and out of your breather tubing on the head of the engine. Normally on the 50cc engines when there is blow by...the engine does not have enough compression to run. But I have seen 2 that did run with that blow by..and both spewed oil out of the vent tube. Of course I am assuming you mean the tubing that comes from the engine head?

I believe it is coming out of the engine head. I set the job aside for now until I have more time but wanted to thank you for the info. If I were to take it down I will need a manual and a place for parts. Thinking I will look for that too. Retro -4 STCQT-50, Engine 139QMB built 2004. Have any places to look?
