Links for a cylinder head temp Guage (I think 10 mm plug is right? ) cheep tach and piston kit.
Before you order parts you need to open up the motor and post pics. Does the motor turn over? Make any noises when it rotates?
I don't mean to sound like an asshole but I'm going to risk it anyway (sorry). Your mechanic is INCOMPETENT. If you need him to do the wrench turning i understand have him pull it apart and post pics so we can help you figure out what went wrong. I'm just guessing but I would say it leaned out in the over rev but what damage did it do? Hole the piston? Or just seize? You will need to compare your piston dimensions to the link i posted to make sure it is right. If you holed the piston you will need to flush the cases and the pipe to get the metal out of them. Another thing to consider is you were probably turning 12000 rpm. Is there play in the big end of the rod? Does the crank rotate smooth? Did the pin bearing survive? If you wiped out the piston pin bearing the cylinder is junk and if it survived you need to replace it when this goes back together. Was there pre ignition? How bad does the head look? Detonation puts a hell of a shock load on stuff. All of these variables is why i say don't order parts until you know what you need and why it blew up. If you have your mechanic put this back together (or do it your self) use the tach to help tune the cvt and keep the motor under 10000 rpm. Cylinder head temp Guage to help you tune the carb. To tune the cvt watch the tach and note at what rpm it feels like it pulls the hardest and adjust roller weights for that rpm. The temp Guage will get hot when you are lean so you can see if there is a throttle position or rpm you have a problem at. I would do the tuning your self to make sure it is right and watch the temp to make sure you don't have a problem and if you do you will know before it blows up that way.
