Just picked up a TaoTao ATM-50 in the crate locally here in MN a couple of weeks ago. Did my first test run a few days ago and then let it sit for about 3 days. Went back to start it today and no power when turning the key to on (normally the tail light and small light on the front would turn on and I could even honk the horn), but today, nothing. Checked the battery - full power in the battery. I have 2.7 KM on this thing...it is possible the main switch that is turned on and off with the key already went bad??? How do I test this? On a related matter, after my first little test ride I tried to put the steering in the lock position and push in and turn the key to lock...but when I do that I can't actually take the key out once the steering is locked - making it pretty much useless. Thanks for any help and advice anyone might have.

Check your kill switch..make sure it is in the 'Run' position...and not the off position..

OK, I had checked the main fuse earlier and it "looked" ok. Changed it out and problem solved. Where's a good place to buy a "blade style" fuse to replace that POS that's in there now?

Local auto parts stores or Radio Shack would have them... maybe even Wal-Mart... or you can get them on eBay or Amazon.

You are not done yet..next you may want to find out what is causing the fuse to blow. Possibly a cheap defective Chinese fuse...however if it blows again find the problem before it becomes a bigger problem.. Glenn
