Saw this engine at the scrap yard. HONDA 50CC OR 80CC engine? It was in excellent condition. Block only.

Could have been it. It had a aprilia sr50 rim on the qmb engine. Wish I was able to see the whole thing before disassembled and crushed

so I disconnected the gauges and everything with a kill switch. still no spark. Just going to start from the beginning. What's weird is that my roommates moped was doing the same thing. Coincidence? I think not.

No kickstand switch. But I've noticed that my stator are all darker than normal. I don't have a multimeter. But thought if they are darker it means they are fried? Going to swap the pickup right now. It was running, and then it stopped! That's the soundtrack to my life. Lol

one at a time. I'll try disconnecting the wire harness. Hopefully that will work. I was building it for someone. I wanted him to see it and see if he liked it before I went any further on it.

Put the engine in the frame after painting it. decided to see if it would start and, it did. when I bought it the stator was on upside down. Man I wish every scoot was as easy to start as this one. hopefully no more hiccups. Some sanding and paint. she will be ready to sell. Guess I should start doing build (flip) threads!

well I just bought and sold what they called a pioneer 150. also known as an El ninjo. It was a really nice looking scoot. But I doubled my money without having to put any money into it. And it would have got stolen eventually! all my good ones do. Now just have to look for something else because I don't have transportation now.

Some guy wants to trade me a 150cc engine that supposedly has a Stroker crank in it. How just by looking at it would I be able to tell if it does have a Stroker crank installed? Just by extra base gaskets? Either way I would trade for the engine. just want to know how I would tell without pulling the top end off. And even if I did pull the top end off how would I be able to Tell?

I used some gear lube, but doesn't answer the question why it did what it did? But looking at it again I may have left a nut loose on the coil and i may have bumped it and it connected with the wire to the starter. OOPS! LOL
