Sounds like carb adjustments are needed. Turn the idle fuel adjustment all the way in gently, and then turn it back out 2 turns. Set your throttle cable screw to contact the casting and then three turns more. That should get you in the ballpark unless someone else has better ideas. Ok I got u but what is the casting

You only need 4 things to run an engine; a properly timed spark, compression, air, and fuel (in the proper proportion). We now know you have spark, a timing light would determine if it was near TDC. You still need compression and air/fuel mix. I notice you don't have a fan shroud around the engine. Have you been running it without the shroud? No I just took it off to put my spark plug in easier. My scoot has been down because of the starter fastner . I have finnaly gotten the fastner out. Ran into the spark problem fixed that . I know I have compression due to the finger over hole trick. Fuel is getting to it because carb was full of fuel when I cleaned it today. What is happening is it cranks for at least 30 seconds then try's to turn over . It only turned over once today n it idled for 3 secs only because I gave it throttle .after the release it died .

My scooter is getting spark but not cranking. I couldn't solder so I crimp wires together to the cdi. Video here youtu.be/c65B9iFsOPkSo I finally got it to crank however it reeves for about 30 seconds then finnaly decided to crank up When on I needed to give throttle soon as it was released it died. Also it comes on with a loud shrieking noise youtu.be/7fClHJmJ6HMCrank no turn over almost crank video youtu.be/8iMmBGSAzqM

Ya know, I've always liked Floyd's threads. It's like a good suspense movie; There's always a twist you don't see coming! My scooter is getting spark but not cranking. If the wire will not stay in the terminal solder it. If the terminal won't stay in the connector bend the retaining tab a little. Replacement terminals can sometimes be found on eBay. Soldering seems pretty easy from this video I might got with that approach youtu.be/DM6rqVRMxXs

Terminal will stay I will take one off old scoot or new stator . Attempting the paper clip method of removing the wires. I have no solder tools or experience. Any suggestions would also be enlighten.

You can pop those terminals out of the plastic connector with a paperclip or a thin piece of metal. There is a little retainer tab that needs to be depressed then the terminal slides right out the back where the wire connects. Once you have the terminal out you can reconnect the wire and re-crimp it. Then push the terminal back in the plastic connector until you feel the tab snap into place. Check your other connections and make sure they are all tight and not corroded. Connections go bad over time on these scoots. Make sure you have not become a prime member of the idiot club like me and have forgotten to make sure the kill switch is not actuated... Use the troubleshooting guide in the manual to find the cause of the no spark situation. Iv explained to Floyd almost a year ago in great detail how to remove terminals from a plug. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/17473/ignition-install-help?page=1Ok I will check it out y'all love talking about me lmao

I understand that it pops out with a paper clip type nail but it has been broken to the point it won't go in and stay...
I got an idea. I have a new unopened stator . That should come with the cartridge I need . So I will take the new cartridge and replace it with the other one BOOM

Excellent!!! Make sure you use some anti-seize on the new bolts. You can buy jars of the stuff with a brush in the cap applicator or tubes. They even make some wax-crayon type sticks of anti-seize that I find very useful for carrying in a tool kit and using in the shop. You can stick it in old lipstick or lip balm tubes to store it. There are various types for various applications. NOW I HAVE NO SPARK www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVAonhpNWig&feature=shareSo After 6 months of trying to drill out the fastener to my starter, I finally achieved it. Next I went to put my starter back on, it works fine turning the engine over and make that huff n puff sound from the exhaust. I am getting fuel. Valves should be fine. I'm not getting spark because one of the Cdi cables has came lapse from coupler cartridge . From this video you will better understand . Please Watch and COMMENT. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVAonhpNWig&feature=shareThanks

I know it doesnt sound too promising, this is exactly what I did in a turbine housing. I snapped the bolt, then snapped an easy out in it. It got it out. Maybe just luck What size easy out should I use ? Should I keep drilling until it HOPEFULLY sticks? Can I use a easy out with a drill?
