Engine number 1 looks pretty clean. It seems like it has been ran a lot , the slight scoring on the piston looks ok and no scoring on the cylinders. Clean the piston ,cylinder , rocker arms and cam with mineral spirits. Make sure you blow out the bearings on the cam . Once clean check for major scores and damage if all is good you may be able to just hone and re ring.

A positive wire is grounding some wire when you turn on the high beams check the white wire if I remember correct. If the colors are different there should be 3 wires to the back of the head light one is a ground , but the other 2 are positive. The high beam wire might be grounding some where in the head light assembly.

13v to 14v is good for charging that’s where it should be if anything less it would be a damaged charging coil . Anything more would be damaging.

There is no rear bearings in a qmb139 wheel itself. The rear wheel is power thru a splined shaft. The front wheels have bearing the that can be removed with a punch. Take a punch and hammer and hit the bearing from the back side to push it out of the wheel. Use a socket the fits the outside ring and use a mallet to tap it in gentley to the wheel.

It sounds to me to me you have a electrical short in the lighting wiring. Check the wires at the headlight / turn signals. If there loose it could be grounding on some thing in there. Does it blow fuses?

Sorry guys a know its kinda off topic but
Hello everyone, I got a pit bike for free they said it did not run because of electrical. But the real problem was the nut and adjuster for the intake valve was gone. I replaced it but found a nut on the lower valve cover but no adjuster. There is a oil gallery on the bottom but besides that I dont have any idea were it could go becaue the oil gallery is the only exit. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the input. Ps. it is a lifain 125

But i checked the timing and it is good, opened up the carb it was all good I changes the plug. Then I changed the cdi. the cdi made a significant difference the bike ran better. But the top end still spudderd a bit so I belive it is ether the coil or the pick up the stator.
