I have no affiliation with them or Lance. I just happened to run across the video when I was checking out the Scoot Jockeys club in Wisconsin awhile ago. I was hoping this "movie" was going to be a lot cooler and more interesting than it is, but it is what it is. If it is indeed an advertisement for Lance, it's not a very good one with the one's tranny taking a dump half way through the trip causing them not to do the whole route on scooters. I have a feeling it's more of an advertisement for Grand Rapids Scooters, or whoever is supplying them with their bikes. Sure, Lance might be letting them use the bikes at no charge, but I doubt their "sponsorship" goes beyond that, but I could very well be wrong. I actually haven't been checking the site that much lately as I have a lot of things going on right now. Heck, I even loaned out my scooter to someone who might be interested in buying it. I just thought some people might get a kick out of the videos, but maybe I was wrong.

That looks like it was a blast! Are those small paths just made for bikes or are scooters allowed on them?

Last summer three guys drove 50cc Lance scooters 1,200 miles around Lake Michigan over 8 days. They filmed the trip and are slowly releasing episodes showcasing each day's ride. Enjoy! I'll add episodes as they are released. Info, including route details: One Lap FilmFacebook Page: One Lap Facebook PageDay One (Grand Haven, Michigan to Chicago, Illinois): Day Two (Chicago, Illinois to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin): Day Three (Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to Sheboygan, Wisconsin): Day Four (Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Escanaba, Michigan) Day Five (Escanaba, Michigan to Grand Marais, Michigan) Day Six (Grand Marais, Michigan to Mackinaw, Michigan)

I bicycled last night.
The scooter was so tempting. Temp was decent, mid 30s F, and it had been warm enough during the day that I knew I didn't have any concerns about ice on the road.
But I also wanted to pick up some groceries this morning on the way home. This was just the right time. And I can carry more on the bicycle. It has a trailer.
So I had to leave the scooter behind. It was sad.
But the weather is taking a turn for the better. Moderate temps. There are a few days of rain forecast. But I can ride in that. (Though I might choose not to) And there's not a lot of precip during freezing weather expected.
So, all in all, I do expect to be able to do some scootering during the next few weeks.
It's about time. I haven't done anything more than a mile or two since Christmas. I know at some point you mentioned how long your commute is, but I forgot. How long is it? I commend you for riding your bike at all hours of the day in a lot of difficult weather. I have a hard time riding a few miles on a nice day.

scooter won't start for anything in this cold, even after fixing the starter clutch and it turning over fast. I may attach a vacuum line to my unused port, and find a way to stick a plug in the end, then I can shoot starting fluid straight into intake, since it doesn't work worth a crap, shooting it into the filter You might be better off finding a primer kit and putting it on the unused port.

Went with the Behringer crossover, highly regarded, and I can hear why. only bad part was having to get adapters, all I had on hand was 1/4" TRS. I've read some articles on using crossovers in recording as well, split the signal 3 ways and then EQ each band, compress and recombine I might try. Nice! I have a Behringer BFD Pro that I bought for a EP 3000 powered DIY 15" sub I made a few years ago. I was going to run REW to help with my room modes but never got around to it. I ended up going a different route with my setup and planned on doing stereo subs but never bought a second. I'm pretty happy with what I have now but of course there's always room for improvement. Hopefully in the next year or so I can sell my current house and get a new one with a room that's bigger so I can give my speakers some room to breathe.

Your ideas sound good to me. But I'm no expert.
The only other thing I'd add is that when we had a dishwasher the noise was about enough to kill me. Now I did have a wife and three daughters who seemed to run the darned thing for amusement.
If you're living solo or have people around you who can show a little more restraint, then maybe it'll be okay. But when it's running, it lets you know about it. A lot of the newer ones are super quiet, but I would imagine a lot of depends on the manufacturer and level of quality that you buy. I replaced my parent's 1990s builder grade Kitchenaid around 2005 with a mid tier of some brand and you can hardly hear it run. I don't think they've had any problems with it either. A lot of people say to spend the extra money and make sure you get one with a stainless tub. I still do my dishes the old fashioned way.

That is ridiculous and I would report them to ebay. You had every right to give them neutral or negative feedback. Most sellers are honest, but every once in a while you run across one who doesn't deserve to be selling. Most of the ones my friends and I have run across are usually phone and computer related sellers. I've had my ebay account since 1999, and used to sell, but something changed in the mid 2000s where people started saying anything to try and get something for free. I've never had an issue, but other people I know have so I've stopped selling and only buy once in a blue moon.

I feel sorry for the people who live in areas that aren't equipped to deal with the cold and snow. I can't imagine what it would be like to be trapped in your car for hours or longer because there's no plows or salt to keep the roads open. Then there's the houses that are under insulated or uninsulated and dealing with frozen pipes, ect. With that being said, we haven't had a low temperature that was 0 or above since December 25th where I live. I'll take the "cold" that the south is seeing right now any day of the week. Honestly, I have no idea why I stay living where I do. Granted, the temps we've had for a while are below normal, but are not abnormal for this area. These are the observed temps since 12/25: Date Low High (F) 12/25 -18 8 12/26 -22 -5 12/27 -23 0 12/28 -23 4 12/29 -16 4 12/30 -14 4 12/31 -19 -2 1/1 -15 3 1/2 -6 12 1/3 -3 9 1/4 -1 5 1/5 -2 3 1/6 -21 9
