Oh wow, this is the first time I've checked this thread in a while. From those pics, it looks like that front fairing is almost the exact same color! Too bad that footguard didnt line up right. The eton must be just a little different. I'm really liking the way this thing looks though. It's rivaling my Triton in the looks department ;D I'm sure when you get that engine done, it'll beat it in the quickness department too! Unless I do some undercover work before TnG

Has anyone ever heard of a Malossi PHVB 22mm Dello carb before? I've got a guy that wants to trade me for my Polini 2g clutch and bell. I've been looking and I can't find any info on it. I'm just curious about the tunabilty and reliability of it.

hey Reign, that footgaurd is from the same xpeed as the plastics that i got from Robert. Still not sure why it won't line up properly but ive come to accept the gap.

Thanks for the links Brent, I checked Dello's site before I posted here and couldn't find it in there list. It sounds like its a pretty decent carb and knida comparable to the 17.5mm that was on my rally, just a little bigger.

well I'm having a dilemma here folks. i just took my vento gear cases apart and found it has a 10.13:1 final ratio. I can't decide if i want to build the vento motor with that final or do i build the eton motor with a 13.54:1 final?

For 1/8 mile, I'd go with 13.54 gears.

i've been playing with the numbers and if i go with a 49/13primary and 43/13secondary it works out to a 12.47:1 final ratio. a 52/16p & 44/13s works out to a 11:1 final. 52/16p & 43/13s works out to 10.75:1. i know 13.54:1 should be good for the 1/8th mile but i don't want to get passed in the backend of the track cause i ran out of gears. i've been really thinking about going with the 12.47:1 setup.

If you are going with a "big motor",up gearing a little will be a good idea,70cc is good with the 13.5 ratio, get too tall and it'll be slow out of the hole..

and thats why i'm thinking about the 12.47:1. its not that much of an up gear but it should mean a little more speed in the back end of the track.
