Just stumbled across 3 Diamo 2T 50cc scooters. They've been sitting for about ~2years, but I got them for free so you can't beat the price. I'm trying to get them into running condition, 2 are going to stay fully dressed and the other (pictured) I've stripped down and plan to run naked... after asking the guys on my local forum about it, they suggested I post here. What I'm trying to find out is what these engines are based off of, so I can order parts to fix them, as well as a 70cc BBK and a tuned exhaust (current one doesn't even have an expansion chamber... I've never seen that on a 2T before). Pics are below, any information anyone could provide would be very helpful! Transmission Casing Back-Left Back-Right Front-Left

:welcome2: I hate to welcome you with bad news, but it looks like you've got some 1E41QMBs on your hands. You can look for the engine code on the case in the rear, up top. Should be somewhere in the vicinity of the shock mount, and will probably contain "1E41QMB" in it. Why is that bad news? First off, there are no performance parts out there that I know of. There may be some around, but they aren't readily available. You could probably do some port work , open up the exhaust, and tune the carb and get a little out of it. Beyond that, you'll be limited to the performance you can get by fabricating your own parts mostly. You might be able to get a different carb to fit without too much hassle. You'll probably be stuck at 49cc as well, unless you can find a piston somewhere that will work with an overbored cylinder. The next bit of bad news... Those engines don't have a CVT transmission. Instead they have a fixed drive ratio, and act as a single speed. Having a CVT or multi-speed transmission is very important if you want much performance out of such small engines. You may be able to change the final drive ratio (not sure), but even if you do you will be sacrificing either speed or acceleration pretty noticeably I would imagine. Long story short... If you want a scooter to hop up, these aren't the ones for you. It would be a nice challenge I guess, but you'll be struggling to get teh performance out of this that could be easily had from other models. I's suggest selling them or reapiaring and then selling them (depending what you think will yield the most money) and buying a different scooter to mod. If you do need parts for these, here are a few sites that may help... www.scootusa.com/d1e41qmb_2_stroke_Repair_doc_listing.htmwww.partsforscooters.com/Vehicle-Type/50cc-D1E41QMB02-2-stroke-Scooter-PartsThere are threads around here regarding this model, I just don't have time to dig it up right at the moment. If anyone else remembers those threads, please feel free to post them here. www.scrappydogscooters.com/Geely_D1E41QMB_2T_parts.html

Thanks alot man!
Good thing I'm a believer that bad news is better than no news X-D
I'll do a little looking to make sure; but I'd say you're on target (was wondering why there would be a fill-plug on the transmission if it were belt drive).

Welcome tehchease. I knew Brent would take care of you.
Fixing and selling is probably the way to go. Even if you just get a little for each, all together you could get into something more mainstream.

Wonder what fun could be had with 3 of them...
I'm also half tempted to tear a top-end off to check the small end of the connecting rod; and cylinder stud pattern...wouldn't it just be dapper if something could get thrown on there. Even if it required a new carb/mani/exhaust.

That would be cool, but don't get your hopes up. Port timing, boost ports, transfer ports, deck, and more need to be correct to make it work right. If you have the time and money and enjoy experimenting, it could be a cool project. Otherwise, plan on plain daily riders or selling them for something else. ...or you could see if you could swap all three engines into one scooter. That woudl probably make good power... at the cost of lots of headaches.
