Often times I come to forums looking for solutions that have already been found. A lot of us have continuing threads here for our builds, listing the problems/questions we have and usually you find the solutions in them. Grant it they are buried sometimes so you have to do a lot of reading or searching, but they are there.
One thing I see too often is the lack of results. I'm not saying that the members aren't answering questions, in fact it's the opposite! You guys are some of the best and most active members I've seen on any forum! What I mean is the original poster has failed to put their results in the post.
I.E. "My scooter won't start, it does this, here's a video..."
Members come and give their possible answers and solutions...
Poster then writes ANOTHER post saying "Now my scooter won't go faster than XXmph!"
Well, what finally worked to get it started? What else did you do? What changed? How fast was it going before?
I'm just saying I wish some members would try to keep up with their posts a little better. I'm not sure if it's in the rules (Who reads those anyways? lol) or if it needs to be in the rules. It's just an observation of mine.
Anyways, have a great day folks! Let's put some miles on these things this weekend!

I agree, but I can't really make it a rule. It would just continue to get broken. There are quite a few members with just enough posts to look for a solution and then we don't see them anymore, or at least they don't post. Yeah, it would be nice to at least know what worked, but I think a lot of people just aren't into forums and use them only as needed and never think about it again. I'm just glad we do have so many members around willing to hang around and help out. Even if the folks that need troubleshooting don't come back or post, at least maybe we helped them and they got back to riding.

Completely agree with first post.
I'd encourage people to both post results if they got the problem solved AND/OR post back if you did something we suggested, quicker.

Any time I post a question to get my scooter backup and running I always try to let the guys who helped me know what happened. Its just a courtesy. After all I picked your brains the least I can do is let you know how it when and what worked.

At the minimum they should post the results and say THANKYOU to who answered the question... Most important is the thankyou, because its hard to say thanks for the advice w/o posting the results you got.

It's more about helping out a neighbor for me...I Don't think it should be about the thanks...But common courtesy is always nice

I agree with all of you three. A thanks is always nice, but the least I'd hope for us to see what the end result was.
I like to post my problem and even if I figure it out on my own, I throw the results in. I try to be detail on describing the work and try to take pictures where it helps too. These things aren't required, but they are nice to do for the next person I feel. I've already gotten a few thank yous from people just on my VX50 thread and that thing is still barely holding on lol. But I love when I get that, knowing someone else benefited from my findings or mistakes.
