I needed to clean up some wiring today and I thought I take some pics of that ignition coil part that I couldn't show at that time. So here some images. First I created some kind of splitter. Unplugged the upper wire from the coil. Then plugged in the splitter and connected the signal wire. You could of course just wrap the signal wire around the spark plug wire but I just didn't like that.

Nice install, thanks for sharing. I suggest if you have room in the housing is to put a few silica gel packets to help absorb any moisture that might accumulate seeing that you mentioned the unit was not waterproof.

Where is the CDI mounted on these Jogs? If it's under the front cover you could also tap into that same wire at the CDI end to save running a long wire.

Where is the CDI mounted on these Jogs? If it's under the front cover you could also tap into that same wire at the CDI end to save running a long wire. You can see it in the video I posted. My current CDI (blue Daytona) doesn't have that white signal wire that is why I tapped into the coil. If I put the red one, like you have, then I can take it from the CDI directly as you mentioned. Somehow the red CDI and my Jog are not getting along very well.

Ah I missed the first page lol The wire you've hooked it up to at the coil goes between the coil and the CDI plug, just match the colour up to find it. /You've already ran the wire so it makes no difference now lol My red CDI doesn't have the tachometer output that you're one has.
My red Daytona seems to be working perfectly, soo much better than the stock one. I've never had a blue one to compare it with though.
