Yesterday after work I hung her from the rafters and went to work pulling her running gear. Lol. Maybe time to think about dating. Nah, I'll stick to scoots for awhile. Anyway, I never got a good leak test on this motor and it's been bothering me. I suspected it was a leak down tester to intake boot connection but I've been having issues tuning the carb so I had to know. Test held 6psi for 10 minutes then slowly went down over an hours time. I'll be looking at it closer today after coffee.

I recently had a problem tuning a 19 mm dell clone, I replaced it with a real dell 21mm and problem was solved. I suspect the pilot jet seat is cut too deep on the 19mm clone, but I haven't had time to figure it out.

Thanks John. I'll put it back together and work on the carb tuning.

OG this is a new 21 Dell. I've also got some S6 glass reeds in it that I don't have any experience with.

The 2 Clones I got had weird needle and slide combo's. My 21, had a W-16 & a 60* slide, 82MJ.

It's acting rich. It's a real Dellorto. I've got a 90 in now with the stock box on it. Starts and idles great but has a studder at about the throttle position the needle should come into play. I'll make some adjustments and see.

Corrosion this 21 has the w16. I'm going to put the needle to the leanest setting and check it. The rain has finally stopped.

W-7 seems to be my go too needle with an air box. What slide #. I like a W-7 & 40-45* (a forty modded slightly)

That's the setup I have on the 19 in the RX8.

Actually the 21 has the same setup also. W7 40. I took a W16 out of the 19 for a W7. I get confused.

When in doubt, I go to SA site and check the spec' on the Stage 6 MKII dellroto's. It is always a good place to start. imgur.com/OnqCcvM They will generally run pretty good at there setup.

Okay moving in the right direction. 88 main, clip at the top, w7 needle. Seems like it should be lean but I think it needs an 85. There is a marathon being run through my neighborhood so I'm not going to go attract attention with this pipe, no tag or lights. The airbox isn't going to work with this setup so I'll be dialing it in when I get a filter.
