hey guys...i have been looking at these boost bottles.i emailed jim at boost induction systems..i seen here a boost bottle industries...are they one in the same these days?..boost induction has nicer bottles, but the other gives you a sticker..lmao.... my ? now is, since the intake/reeds are one way, how does the bottle even work?.. the idea of air coming back thru seems impossible since its a one way highway into the engine.........am i just retarded?....(im suppose to get a dual bottle/w nos kit).(suppose to get whole list ordered this week)..wont that be awesome?!?!?...lmao

There is a slight burst of pressure before the reeds close that the bottle captures.

well, i FINALLY got my next r pipe repaired, maybe i can get it put on tomorrow and do some chops..just to rainy/windy today..blah...i cant wait to get it back on, should help the wheels pop a bit more. i could actually tell a difference with my porting job but i wanna try it with the pipe..SHOULD be able to hit 55-56, imma hoping anyway..lmao..hit 53 before port job.. so what does round 2 of porting consist of?? boost port?.. oh, if i wanted to bore my cyl. out for a bigger piston, would i measure the material at the boost port since thats the thinnest side?. if so, i think i could only hit a 40mm piston..its like 2.37mm? from inside cyl to inside boost port(prolly not correct but a ball park) 1mm may be cutting it thin on a cyl. boost port.. also, could my guys shop just mill it out the 1mm or is it some special process?..

morning guys..i have another ? about the bottles.. they sell a nos kit also...has anybody around actually TRIED that universal nos kit? .. also the bottles, i see them for up to 52cc, but the motorized bikes have a 70cc bottle, are not all boost bottles the same dimensions??..i will have a 70 kit soon........also has anybody actually ordered from the scrappydogscooter place???.. thanks guys for any replys...

Shiftless has used the little nitrous kit. Boost bottles and the hoses attaching them should be suited to your displacement. ScrappyDog Reviews

ok, they have fast shipping..lmao....thanks for the reply 90gt.. how about the quality.. i was looking at his reed cage/intake. it already has 2 vaccum fittings installed, the one from sa has none... also seen a pipe, tho it looked short and stubby...maybe i should stick with a rs2, at least i KNOW they make em for my vert engine..lmao....hmmm, gotta pm shiftless...

Quality is average I'd say for most parts, but I would prefer to get big bore kits elsewhere I think. I order lots of other stuff like coils, CDIs, stators, starter bendixes, etc... and they are good replacement parts.

The BBK i got was kinda whacked as far as the ports were. I agree with Brent, dont get any "big" parts from them. Even the intake i got leaked, so check everything over, WELL!

i have got a good one for somebody......when my pipe cracked(next r), i removed the packing JUST to see how much louder it would be. well it was QUIETER. today i reinstalled my next r pipe with the packing inside... my pipe is QUIET.. what happened to my loud ass pipe that i just love the loud.. its dam near as quiet as a stock muffler untill it opens up and gets a touch louder, NOTHING like before...i want my loud pipe back ............. did i pack wrong,just rewrapped it.....

It's supposed to be quieter when you repack it. That's kinda the point. Not sure what was up when it got quieter from repacking. Sure you didn't have a gasket leaking or something?

i had that loud 2t dirt bike sound before...i miss that. everytime i jetted carb, it would get louder. when i repacked, i used the same packing, just cut the burnt piece off and rewrapped. now its WAY quiet.. idk about a leak, the pipe had gotten louder with jetting, time. maybe the burnt piece had something. it was burnt to the sleeve(w/all the holes). why would it even be quiet W/O any packing??..all the holes??.

got any ideas about gears with the bbk???.... i have read that a 15/42 set would be a good choice.. vtcycles has a good price on gears......all parts are getting ordered TONIGHT..WOOO HOOOO......

good morning fellas... well i got a text late last night saying my parts have been ordered.... now maybe i can start to catch up.....lmao...................i want to give 90gt- 2strokd a BIG ASS THANK YOU!!!!... for talking me over the edge with my exhaust porting..... I AM A BELIEVER!!!. got my next r pipe back on..NICE difference with the porting, she is really waking up now... sooo!. does round 2 porting consist of learning the degree wheel??......oh yeah, i guess i will have to port exhaust, set squish all over again with the bbk? ......

Round 2 would definitely involve a degree wheel IMO. If not, you would need to use math and measurements to determine port times. A degree wheel really isn't tricky. Knowing how to interpret the numbers you get and what you want to shoot for is the hard part. lol
You will need to check the squish clearance with the BBK. You may or may not wanna port the BBK. Might wanna leave it be to start with. See how you like it.

now i was already wondering if i would need to reset squish, port exhaust again with bbk. guess i was hoping it wouldnt need it.... ::)that means i will basically start ALL over again..... .............. sure could use some gear info in my other thread, this one, i dont care... ;D
