Due to EPA regs the last of the new for sale 2strokes from Kymco are no longer being imported and sold(Super8 and Like 50cc). All due to emissions. As a new found 2t Kymco lover (or is it lust???), I'm curious of where you found that out, if there's any shareable link that i can share to a buddy. I would also hate for the 2t Kymco era to end!

No fines for Vento or Eurostrada. Oh yeah they were already put out of business.

When I noticed that the two strokes were on their EOS(End Of Series) list I called my friend who works for Kymco Canada and she conformed for me that Kymco will no longer be importing any new two strokes into North America. So what ever is in the stores is all that is left.

The end of two strokes is in sight I knew it was looking bad when they brought out a four stroke Aerox last year.

What was replied by someone i talk with that works with Kymcos.
"For sure there are no 2t in the USA with carburetors. only the Ditech will be imported 2015. I'm not surprised that the Chinese bikes got screwd like that, and it's really a good thing. If they are saving money by making fake emissions reports then they should be fined out of business."

Those seem like they could be the equivalent to my Super 9, with the dual disc brakes at least. Did they make any liquid cooled? Not trying to thread jack...

First let me say the EPA needs to be reeled in and is one of our economies biggest enemies.I believe that will happen if we get some conservative government with some testicles. But there are still Chinese distributors going Benitelli and Tao Tao.The problem lies too with the cultural difference between us and China. They want their families to run things here whether they can speak the language or not.this causes the lack of spares and warranty problems.Their interchanging of clone engines from one manufacturer to another in the same product caused real problems with the EPA.I spoke at length with Larry Hooper who got in on the start of the Chinese boom and becamethe NA distributor for Lifan but his inability to be able to communicate with them caused him to throw in the towel.Who knows ,China is old and very mistrustful of anyone outside their control. They fact that we are borrowing money from them hand over fist and feeding their booming economy really doesn't give them big incentive to bend.

Hey EPA , how about testing/ checking products before you let them be inported/exported? Kinda hard to miss the stupid fresh air inlet on exaust pipes etc. To clear emissions @ the tailpipe.

The problem is the same with car mileage(fuel Range) there is simply too many to check and test. So the EPA relies on the Manufacture to comply and test their own vehicles(No problems there) and will not do anything unless someone complains.
