Yeah, I've seen both of these vids. They're great. But my carb appears to be more like this.

It's just one thing after another with this thing.. My ignition switch has fallen apart. It starts and runs as it is right now, don't even need a key in it apparently. But the blinkers don't work without it, neither does the horn or electric starter.
The back-end part of the ignition has popped out, there's a plastic assembly with all the wires on it. It looks like there's a piece missing though. My horn was working at the gas station, maybe I'll cruize down that way and see if I can find my part.

That's what I call bad luck. I hope you find your part.

I couldn't find it. I tried checking inside the body panels at the bottom of the scooter to see if it fell down there but I couldn't see anything.

$25-ish for a new ignition switch. And I'm tapped out. There's 2 wires I can connect to get the lights and starter working, and the key can still lock the steering so it's secure. The problem is it drains the battery if I leave it connected. I'll probably rig up a toggle switch until I can shell out for a new ignition switch.

As I mentioned in a pm, send it back and we will replace the crank with marks on it. I've had one boxed up with your address on it all week.

I got my kit for pretty cheap from Valley Scooters. I'm pretty sure the 72cc kit is still on sale for $30.
I also recommend getting the jets so you can up-jet your carb. Stock jets will just run it too lean and cause problems. You'll probably need a new crush gasket for the exhaust. You might also need to increase air flow by removing the restrictor from the stock air box, and maybe drilling a couple of holes.
So, put this on your shopping list; BBK, Exhaust Crush Gasket, A few larger jets to get the carb tuned in... And give Valley Scooters a call at 203-500-0960

When I got my parts from valley scooters I thoroughly inspected them for any wear and tear because I have heard of people getting used parts instead of new from a few dealers. Everything looked good. The kit was pretty well packaged, not retail packaging, but well enough so you know you're not getting used parts. The cylinder had the cross-honed pattern that is required for breaking in a new cylinder and rings.

I also got my BBK from Valley Scooters and I have been very pleased with it. I don't think you can beat $30 shipped!

Some guy saw me working on my scooter a few weeks back. He asked if I know how to work on 'em. I said "yeah". So he asked me if I wanted his old broken down scoote. I said "hell yeah". So I ended up with this piece of junk for free. In return I fixed these things.. The main thing that was wrong with them is the fuel lines needed to be replaced, and a bit of tuning. For the most part this thing is junk. It had been sitting in the guy's back yard for 5 years since he couldn't get it running after he bought it. But it was probably a high-end model when it was purchased, and the original owner took decent care of it. The tires were actually pretty decent, so I swapped them onto my scoot. I had zero tread left on the front tire, and both tires were cracking on the sides, like thick cracks, they were ready to fall apart. I might use the carb too if I can get it cleaned up. Sitting 5 years with gas in it obviously wasn't good for the carb lol.

Take the carb apart and boil all the metalic parts in vinegar.
