More testing done today. First 35/90 (Pilot Jet/Main Jet), I failed to adjust the lean condition with the mixture screw. It runs just too lean at WOT, or at least that is what I think it does.
Next I went with 37/90 setup. Very good response and acceleration at all stages. The sputtering at low end has been significantly reduced to around 0-1/16 throttle. At that stage you can feel it only for a very brief moment. Max rpm. was 8400-8600 at 63km/h. It runs good but it has lost some of its crisp power that I used to have before swapping the AU parts and the reed block into it. But again I run currently on a stock CVT with no adjusting what so ever and probably too heavy rollers. (3x6 + 3x5.5 = 34.5g) I also have still 5-6mm left on the rear pulley and around 4mm on the variator. I usually run with 31.5g or 25.5g depending on the Variator and belt setup.
I am still not able to adjust the mixture screw correctly still at this point I am gonna keep the setting I have since it is neither lean nor too rich and I want to compare the CDI that comes in tomorrow. After that I will slap on my after market Variator back on and I should be flying again in no time.
Really curious to see how corrosions recommended setup will run, can't wait for the #40 slider to arrive.
Something else, I think I might have a very, very tiny fuel leak at the bottom of the 90 degree bendy where it connects to the cap. I think I have a bit of a wet fuel spot there. Is there a way to reduce or close that?

Can't wait to see what you think of the red one vs blue!
Also can't believe I haven't commented in this thread before now even though I must have read it 10 times by now! My next scoot is most likely going to be one of this model Jogs, there seems to be a lot of them in NZ.

Raizer You're welcome anytime to comment on something on-topic or off-topic. I created this thread to keep track of modifications to my Jog(s) but it is also here to talk about anything else. So from all the pages maybe half or more are off-topic stuff. You guys in NZ should have the same Jogs around there. Another forum member from Australia opened his own Jog topic and he had one that look same as mine but it was a 2011 model which is kinda weird because in Japan the CV50 series was last build in 2007. Regarding the CDI, I will keep you updated.

Just in case the day comes that you buy a Jog like mine the CV50 series, two things. 1.) they have a limited CDI, so you will have to buy again a red or blue CDI 2.) make sure it doesn't have a hose going from the engine to the exhaust. That type of Jog is full of emission crap and hard to tune. That Jog you link to is in a very beat up shape, poor thing. How could someone let that happen. Does that price of $80 means that this is what he pays YOU to go pick it up? It is a vertical Minarelli engine. I think PIG and birdman have played around with vertical Minarelli engines. They can be fast, very fast if tuned right.

Trust me if I get a CV50 the CDI and exhaust will be the first things changed! I've played around with vertical Minarelli engines a bit in my youth, nothing to the extent of PIG's engine though! Have had a few lightly tickled SA50 Passolas, the last one I had swapped a Jog CVT engine in to it in place of the odd 2 clutch, 2 speed, chain driven mess of a stock engine. Wouldn't mind doing another Jog engine into Passola, but with a heavily modded engine like PIG's with a completely stock body. I mean the thought of something like this with a worked engine overtaking traffic etc really appeals to me!

Installed the Red Racing CDI. Definitely an improvement there. She rips stronger from the start line and the power in mid- top-range increased. I think I need to do some Carb tuning again, today the sputter in the low-range felt stronger then yesterday and I think I might be a tiny bit lean at WOT. CHT temps were in OK range, not too hot not too cold either. Considering that this is probably my worst CVT setup she runs very strong. Can't imagine how strong she runs when I setup the right CVT. I couldn't drive all too long today because my test drive came to an abrupt stop. A woman in her K-Car hit my Scooter while she was driving backwards. It looks like she wanted to make space for another car that came out from the side road and while going back she must have overlooked me and hit my front part. I honked and all but it was too late. I could just back up a tiny bit and therefore reduce the damage. It was a very dark part of the road, bad street lights and all. She came out of the car and was about to go into panic mode and when I took the helmet off and she saw a foreigner she start to shake like she just saw the devil. lol She asked if I am OK and I said I am OK but my Scooter might not be OK so we went to a brighter spot to look at the damage and luckily it was just a minor thing. A bit of paint and clear coat and I am good to go again. Nothing cracked or broken. I told her not to worry about it and that I will take care of it. She seemed very, very relieved. Here some images of the CDI and damage. As you can see in the later images I sanded down the spots already and preped it for painting. It should be finished by end of this week. Red CDI installed Accident on the way home.

You work fast Tsimi. Good that it did not crack the plastic.
All these modern two strokes seem to come with all the recirculation piping on now. I just dumped all mine. If you fit a sports pipe there is nothing to hook it up to anyway.

tsimi or spaz12 where do I find a 2t dictionary or translator? There is an OVERWHELMING amount of great info in this thread, but even I'm still loosing allot in translation. I've always been a 4t scoot guru mainly do to the lack of accessibility of both 2t parts and knowledge here in the states. Especially out on the West Coast where scooting is still a sin and looked down upon. ("F" the haters! I'd tell 'em all to go to Hell, but I don't wanna see 'em again!!) And one other thing 90GTVert and everyone else, why haven't the aftermarket scooter parts manufacturers caught wind of this site yet? I mean you have a literally global group of riders with any and all scooting needs, wants and uses of the little vehicles so why aren't they here asking the blood dedicated consumers for input? I mean it's like this site is a secret or something or is it just the younger sibling syndrome? It's just ignored and overlooked till it takes the keys and wrecks the car in the side of the Mayor's office........oops time for my meds. (Wink)

Clank, I've seen you make the statement before that there is a lack of 2T parts in the states. In a literal sense there might be a lack of 2T part sellers IN the states, but you have to order your parts too, right? Unless you want to pay a shop owners overhead, then ordering parts is always cheaper and it's the way most of us get our parts. So my parts might take a couple extra days coming from Canada. No big deal to me. And 2T knowledge... All you have to do is get on the internet and you're surrounded by it. You don't have to look hard to find it.
And to ME, any 4T under 600cc's is, well, boring. With the notable exception of the 1992 CBR 250R, which had a red line of 20,000 rpm. That is a wicked 4 stroke! And scooters are looked down on because of slow ass 4 strokes getting in everyone's way.

If you fit a sports pipe there is nothing to hook it up to anyway. Yeah, got lucky or better SHE was lucky otherwise I would have called in the cops and her insurance would have to cover for the front plastic. 2 days more and it will look like it never happened. Yes if you put on a sports pipe you don't need that hose but you will have to remove that hose and close that hole. And the new Jogs have not only emission crap to the pipe but also from carb to airbox, like mine had. This again can be removed by replacing the stock carb with a Dello or anything non-stock. Then just close the hole in the air box and you are good to go. I am not sure if there are more emission stuff build in, probably depends on the country. Clank2Ts are way easier than 4Ts. Simple engine build, only 1-2 piston rings and not 5+ anymore. No drive chain, no hoses coming out from all directions. The CVT is more or less same as the 4Ts. My thread is maybe not the best place for learning since there is a lot off-topic talk inside too and skipping those pages might be a PITA. Brent has still the best tutorial topics. I always use the "Find it faster thread" to look for vidoes or tutorials. Again, *welcome to the REAL world, my young Padawan. (*Matrix+Star Wars)

I've never seem someone put so much effort in tuning a sub race setup! Well done Tsimi, also for the whole review and reports! You'd do fine when you would step up to more exterme 2strokes.

Thank you Lucass. I would like to give that "Thank You" back to you and to all others that helped me and shared information. I think no matter what build it is these informations might be what someone might be looking for in the future and it helps me keeping track of certain setups at the same time. Either CVT or Carb tuning. And of course this all is good practice in case I would go to a stronger setups in the future. As you can see I still haven't found my perfect setting but I am getting very, very close.
