spaz12 Just placed the order for a MHR Rep 12mm piston. Can't wait for it to arrive... I have a very good feeling about all this. HIT clutch, original 12mm piston, Polini Evo variator, red CDI with advanced timing. That hopefully will bring the beast out of it and if not then latest when a better pipe goes on.

Glad it made it there safely and quickly. Hopefully you'll like it as much as everyone who uses them does.

You're well on your way to having one very quick Jog. Next stop: Liquid Cooled Big Bore

L/C is the new fad. Everyone's doing it!

If I would go LC then I need at least $3000 to get the parts.
Stage6 70cc R/T $400 Stage6 R/T crank $400 Stage6 ignition $400 Stage6 1400 pipe $400 Radiator and stuff $200-300 ...and other bits and pieces.
So long story short, if I should ever get divorced or win a lottery I might consider it.

You ride too much to use the R/T cylinder. I'd pick the Athena 80

And it looks like you can use your new crank with the Airsal 77 Xtreme. Just sayin...

06jog Sorry but I have no experience with Airsal stuff. I was also thinking about a couple of times already to get one of those since they are really cheap but I have no clue how good they perform in comparison to Polini or Malossi. Maybe spaz12 or Lucass2T know more? Never owned the airsal cylinders myself but i've mounted several back when i was a scootmechanic. I think they're great bang for your buck. A real underdog brand with great potential if you take care of your engine and are willing to check clearances prior to use. I dunno, al lot of ppl (uncareful youths without any feel for tuning) hate em and call them crap. But I think airsal is great. Especially the T6R and the Xtrem cylinders.

Needed to go shopping and had the opportunity to drive the red Jog again and I don't know what is different from last time but she drives way better this time. Strong all the way as long the rpms stay high. I haven't changed anything yet still same setup as last time so I guess the parts are wearing in or maybe the premix fuel went finally through the whole system? I also think that my stock, 2 shoe clutch is slipping especially at take offs. There was a moment when she really grabbed strong. The tacho needle spiked up to 8000 in an instant and the rpms stayed there all the way that was a very, very intense moment, sooooo much power and torque! This is nothing compare to the Polini Sport and I haven't even installed the HIT clutch yet. I am starting to like this cylinder more and more and can't wait to finally get the right tune for it. Top speed seems to have increased too. Not GPS confirmed yet. I also need to raise the pilot jet from #40 to #42 once, there is something not smooth at lower throttle positions. Thanks again to spaz12 for giving me this awesome opportunity to experience such a great cylinder. Lucass2THey! You're back from your trip?

Have you been watching your plugs tsimi? It sounded a little lean in that video you posted earlier.

Have you been watching your plugs tsimi ? It sounded a little lean in that video you posted earlier. It might run lean...but it definetly idles too high. You should set it to 1500-1700 rpm. Now it's more like 2500. This is how you check if idle is lean. Or in other words..if you've set your O2 srew right. Give it a real small and short burst of gas and see how quickly the engine returns to idle. So give it about 1/10 throttle and the engine should return to idle immediatly. When (after the throttle burst) rpm drops slower than you'd normally see or even stay a higher rate before returning back to idle.....than it runs lean.

Haven't checked the plug yet. There is still some adjusting to do with the carb and jets an all. My scooter always idles high for a minute or so before it becomes steady. With the Polini engine I kept the idling at 2000-2200 rpms. Anything lower then that would kill the engine.
