I'm a bit disappointed with this Cordi- I de-restriced the CVT and still only got about 34mph on this scoot. At least the China scoots' speedo's are off so much that you can advertise them as "does 40!" lol. I chucked the drive boss up in my drill and went to town on the grinder with my "redneck lathe" and ground the lip off. When I got just about all the way through it, it seperated and came off the boss clean leaving it unscathed. Sweet.  I went in search of other restrictions in the exhaust. Didn't find any.   Gotta be how small the carb and exhaust itself is restricting this thing. One last thing I have I can try is Blue Honda Dio racing CDI I bought during the Eton Beamer flip. Yeah, I bought a few CDI's on that one lol. I guess we'll see just how close of a 'clone' this is to the Dio and see if the CDI even works... |

Ok, scratch the CDI idea- different plugs....  I don't think it would've made much of a difference anyways. |

Experiment: Try running it with just 3 of the 12 gram rollers in every other slot. That would be the equivalent of 6 gram. I did some reading and there is rumor of an unrestricted CDI but the ones listed for the Cordi all have the double plug connector. This one looks smaller than your stock one. It's not cheap and after running the text through Google translation there is no technical info at all for it. Just curious: What does the Vin Plate say as far as the mfg. and country of origin? |

I honestly don't see the tag anywhere- the vin is on the frame but I don't see the tag that shows all the info but Daelim is manufactured in Korea.

I don't know how some of these deals fall into my lap, but I just got off the phone with Charlie. Charlie is a very nice gentleman that has this exact Daelim scooter! He rides is all the time and says it has never give him any trouble. He's looking to upgrade since his Daelim has 12k+ miles, and mine only has 3400. Oh yes- btw I threw an ad up on CL late last night with just a few quick pics from my garage- Well Charlie is looking to upgrade and says he can't find anyone to even work on his scoot to install new rings or whatever so he wants to buy mine less miles! (I'm asking $725). Well we talked a little and I told Charlie what I do and that I wanted a Daelim to keep for myself so why don't we trade plus cash? Charlie likes the idea and we settled on a $700 price. I'll give hime $300 for trade-in on his scoot so his scoot + $400 cash! I originally asked to get it for $250 but he said he'd be comfortable accepting $300 for his scoot. We can't meet up today but we're planning on doing this deal tomorrow!
This is probably the cleanest scoot I'v e ever had and I told him I wasn't joking when I say it looks it just came off the showroom floor. Hope Charlie doesn't change his mind before tomorrow!
