I just pulled the trigger on the BWS 100 Variator and TD from autotech, $203.90 shipped. I just had him invoice me through paypal, no sense paying all the fees to Feebay, although he still has to give PayPal (also owned by feebay) some of that money.
If I get any gains at all in the takeoff or topend I think it will be worth it. Now I need to find a suitable belt to use with it. I have the belt for the Malossi OR kit I got over the holidays. I will likely give it a try first.

Sorry to hijack your thread Oldgeek- I'm trying to assemble a OR inexpensively also! No worries, would be nice to find cheaper alternatives to high end, high price. As a side note, I opened up my malossi rear pulley today from its original sealed package, and I am amazed at the poor quality weld on the pulley! Seriously, the robot welder was hung over or something. They had to grind part of the weld off by hand, it was that bad. I will post a picture here ASAP. Well the pictures don't really show how bad it looks, but I have never seen a weld this poor on any rear pulley. Even the welds on a cheap stock pulley look way better than this. The weld had to be ground down in 3 places at the factory. I am VERY disappointed.

I recently opened up the CVT cover of the Daelim Cordi (Honda DIO clone) and it just the opposite. I was amazed at the high quality weld on the variator- the kick start pawl is permanantly attached to it- it is one of the most perfect welds I've ever seen! lol. Malossi parts should be top notch for what $$ they charge!

BTW- I thought Malossi stuff was made in Italy??

WoW! Package arrived today, 1 day early! Blazing fast from Taiwan. Way to go autotech355! However, I failed to realize the variator does not come with a bushing. Furthermore neither bushing I have for the Malossi OR kit will fit the BWS 100 variator. One is to big, and one is too small. All of this brings me to another realization, the kit I bought to convert the malossi OR variator to large spline is the wrong one. Anyway I am going to the warehouse a little later, and I will see what I can sort out. I will post some better pictures tonight.
