I have the same motor basicly as yours. I stuck with the hoca 6g sliders and a 1k main. the 1.5k was just to stiff and knocked the top end down.

I always cuss CVT's,but once they are right,nothing can keep up with 'em!! You could probably hear me cussing all the way to Camden yesterday! I would like to meet the inventor of the CVT, but I wouldn't know whether to shake his hand or punch him in the nose. I have the same motor basicly as yours. The lowest I went yesterday was a 1200 contra, so that is likely the issue. I tried around 5 different weight combos with the 1200 spring alone and each time got different RPM's but around the same top speed. I don't think the misting rain, and the totally open CVT cover was helping matters either. I gotta start making better notes, I get confused so easily.
