I am in the process of converting an old Burley trailer to a cargo trailer. I am hoping I have attached the photo correctly, because at this point I can't see it, although it said the upload was complete. Anyway I still have to attach trailer lights to make it street legal for Wisconsin, along with a slow moving vehicle emblem. The next issue I am going to have it trying to tap into the tail light circuits on my scooter, but I will pose that question separately.

Cool, your scoot is doing a wheelie by itself with the trailer!
What was the fastest you've gone with the trailer attached?

I only pulled it around the block to see how it travels. Maybe got up to 20 mph. It pulled fine. I live just a couple of blocks from our police station and a couple of my neighbors are cops. Would not want to get a ticket for an illegal trailer before I had a chance of trying it out for good.

I pull a standard "Allen Sports" bicycle trailer with my scoot. Here's an old pic with my plastics still on: And here's a pic of the same trailer pulling a scoot! It was a friends ruckus clone, which I regret getting rid of: I've pulled this trailer with my scoot at 45mph easily. Super stable with weight in it, I'm worried to go that speed with it empty. I attached the trailer's hitch to my lower shock bolt, but had to use a tad bit longer bolt to grab the threads completely.

how are you guys handling the articulating hitch? since the scooter leans and the trailer doesn't. i like the radio flyer idea, but take the box and sides off, and mount them to a custom frame with bigger wheels.

Actually it's great! There are many bicycle trailers that can work with scoots. Just a matter of attaching the hitch to the scoot. My scoot/hitch setup is like this:

I'm ordering a bicycle style cargo trailer for my scoots. I onlyneed 1 trailor and 2 extra hitches for my 3 scooters. I'll also be wiring lights (all LED's) and a triangle slow vehicle sign (which I already have on my old trailer). Link to trailer; www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083JHEG8/ref=pe_1874210_227792650_em_1p_1_tiI just need to buy a nice plastic container to mount on it.

if you just want to haul groceries go to goodwill and look for a 3 wheel jogging stroller take off front wheel and cut off handle and use to make tow arm you can get them cheap and modify them in a couple of hours just don't go nuts I made a 2 wheel cart to haul my 15 foot canoe 1 mile to the river the cop that pulled me over didn't give me a ticket he just said take it home I never want to see you again

Many different scooter trailer here in Thailand. This is a common one, as these utility carts are sold everywhere. The attachment method can be as pictured, under the butt...or passenger using two hands backwards...or a noose type rope mounted vertical on the rear grab rail. It flexes enough to work like a hitch, but pointing up. No suspension except tire air. Fatter tires would be better. More air to play with. You asked about mounting flexibility...you see the road bike trailers? They mount a "swingarm" to the rear axle on both sides. That arm curves or angles up (Triagulated to something higher) to a pivot joint or u-joint. Here is a Burley. Fairly simple double pivot joint. Single sided swing arm design.

This is quite fun for a Thai guy...We have decided to build a small boat for touring the canals and rivers near our property. The Burley trailer design in bigger dimension would work well with my boat design. A 16' shallow draft pole boat, with a Honda GX-50 engine and surface piercing prop.
Will rig the Gyro rear deck to pull the boat/trailer to the launch area down the road. Boat package will weigh ~150 to 170 pounds. Trailer maybe 80 to 100. Long, but no weight problem...hmmm, no reverse either.
