I see some members are in Florida - some down south, some over near Tampa, and at least one in Daytona. But are any of you actually in Central Florida (ie near Orlando)?

I am in Clermont. Scooter clubs in Orlando are Orlando Scooter Society (OSS) and Step Thru Posse. Search Step Thru Posse on Facebook to see when their rides are. Also there is a big scooter ride scheduled for Saturday Scooters 4 Hooters that is a breast cancer benefit ride |

STP seem to cater to 125 and 150cc scooters - ie no fun for a 50cc there.
OSS seems to be somewhat inactive.

It depends, STP did have a 50cc friendly ride a couple of weeks ago but the problem for me is getting to the meetup point. Orlando does not have many 50CC friendly roads to get there from say Clermont or Altamonte Springs. You would have to truck or trailer your scooter there. STP tries to do 50CC rides but when they are planning to go a long way on 55 mph roads, the bigger scooters win.

Hmm Clermont - you are West of me (and a bit south)... but I know how to get from Altamonte to Winter Garden via back roads (max speeds of 45mph, and many areas of 35mph).

I know how to get from Winter Garden to Clermont on 35 and 40 mph roads (although most people want to drive 50 on them  ) |

Sorry im a bit late to the thread but I'm in Winter Garden if you guys ever wanna meet up out here and do some riding.
scoot is currently out of service atm though.

Looks like STP is going to have a 50cc friendly ride on 7-11. They are going to visit 7-11s in the area and get free slurpees. Meet at the 7-11 at Mills and Virginia. KSU @9:30 AM.
