Well trolling the craigslist ads I've found a gy6 150cc motor and wiring harness " "!!!!. Its got me thinking of building 180cc. Also found a Daelim 2t for a very good price. I've been bitten by the scooter bug ahhhhhh lol

Took the carb off, thinking that the carb is flooded, and took off the air filter. It started up a lot easier with the air filter off, who knew.....gonna test run it again except this time with some cheese cloth on the intake. I have the idle screw at 2 turns. The porcelain on the spark plug is still white
Take off on this thing is amazing. Can't wait to install the springs and weights to see the difference....

We've had some crazy weather lately so haven't been able to work on the scooter. today it was a little clear went for a test ride and noticed oil was leaking....wth..from the intake manifold spacer it was cracked and also from the cam tensioner. One bolt was loose come to find out the inner threads were stripped. I don't think i could've tighten the bolt that tight and didn't torque any of the bolts. During other test runs it never leaked oil before, except from the drip hose. As ar as the manifold heat spacer, I reused the one from the original motor, maybe that was a bad idea but the kit didn't come with one. I found a site that sells them with a gasket for pretty cheap, just may order a few if they crack so easily.
I dont know what to do about the cam tensioner bolt being stripped. I know its stripped because the bolt threads had metal between them. Would this be an easy fix i could do in a few hrs since I'm a newb or should i take it to the machine shop to fix, I have no problem learning I just don't want to mess up anything else.

Maybe a slightly longer bolt may grab some more threads at bottom of bolt hole? Or can be helicioled , or cheat by using a 1/4 20 tap & use a std 1/4 20 bolt? Just tossing some ideas out there.

Depending on how stripped hole is you can cut a notch in a 1/4 20 bolt and it will self tap itself.

Well there was metal on i say about 5 or 6 of the threads. I can tell from twisting it that its stripped near the bottom and not the entire hole. Would putting a notch in the bolt mess up the other threads or just give it something more to hold on to?

Putting a vertical slice/notch in a 1/420 bolt will act like a tap to create threads as bolt goes in, if proper tap cant be found?

Autozone has the tap and die set for $25, so I can do that to day. Ga has crazy weather, gonna be raining all week again, think I might just unhook my motor and bring it to my man room to work on. Been having a trouble getting it started. I know one problem is that the battery isn't strong enough. It dies pretty fast since the install of the bbk plus its an autocraft battery I'll get another one soon. The kick start definitely has trouble starting it as well, it may be worn out as well so replacing it may not be a bad idea either. As far as cranking, either by ignition or kick start, I have to have the throttle open and that's the only way it'll crank. Not sure what could be causing this issue. Any ideas??
I also wanna add the clutch/torque springs, roller weights, add another gasket to the cylinder block, also replace the CVT gaskets. I'm also trying to find some clear tubing for gas/vacuum lines.

Will definitely take a look at. The weather here sucks so bad, i need a workshop. I found some space that would work perfect. 400sqft open space that can be used for anything also has a bay door. Wish i knew some scooter enthusiasts in my area to build and ride with...
