Ive run a modded stock airbox on 125cc MX topends with good results,just cause it has "stock" in doesnt mean its BAD!!

You like a loud intake?I like a motor that is easy to tune and makes its best power(read stock airbox)...Here is an early one in front of the shock; 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/497/airbox-relocation

The airbox had a couple round metal standoffs. I lined one up with a bolt for the CVT cover, (I had to use a much longer screw) and the other one I cut short and used a piece of flat aluminum to make a simple bracket to reach another CVT bolt.
I am going over to the warehouse later I will try to get a picture for you, since the zip is disassembled anyway.

Ill probably just go ahead and attempt to tune the new carb with the open air filter and if it seems almost impossible ill figure out how to get the stock box mounted!

Ran into some troubles... I fired her up with the front tire up against the wall since i have no brakes, pulled in the theottle cable to rev her up and the cvt started smoking really bad!! Opened it up and the cvt was well over 200 degrees... I took a video but youtube wont upload it for some reason :/

You'll need to pop the cover off and have a look, but my guess is your tire had more traction than your belt so basically you did a burnout with your belt instead of with the tire.

Tracking the carb and itll be here tomorrow, arrived at my local post office a few hours ago! Havent messed with it past couple days, sons been sick since Sunday, i left work early yesterday because i just couldnt deal with the pain my body was in and i stayed home again with my son today. Maybe tomorrow ill be feeling better to work and fix the scoot!!!!
