Looked up prices for a new piston as id love to replace mine after the soft seizes in the beginning on tuning this engine. 30$ on partsforscooters for the hoca replacement. Would also need to freshen up my cylinder, and that popped porting into my head... Gonna do some research tomorrow in the tech section and see if it's worth the headache

New parts arrives today! what I thought was a hoca drive face before, is a lot different than the hoca drive fave I just bought. Imprints are different on the front side. So now that I have a hoca face to match the hoca variator, I'm happy! I got the parts installed, these variator guides are much better than the ones I bought last time! She he rips once again! And I already have huge plans with my income tax, a small portion of it anyways! Exhaust, replacement piston, and possibly a carb!

Ok so before I go ordering the wrong pipe, I searched racingplanetusa; "tecnigas next r 100" and multiple searches came up, but none specifying for my Vento Zip, does anyone know which pipe would be the best fit?

I don't think there is a 100 cc minarelli vert motor so that one must fit.

I finally re-tuned the carb yesterday for the colder weather, oh boy does she rip! Pulled out onto a major 4 lane road in rush hour traffic this morning and it felt like in no time I was doing 55+. I am debating on throwing the Dellorto PHBG19 carb on it until I get the Triton running but it has a 72MJ in it and I know that's way to small and idk if my jets would fit, I guess it's worth a shot, right?
I am definately gonna be selling this scooter, maybe just the engine and part the scooter itself out, or throw the original engine back in it and sell it that way. I'm undecided, we'll see what gets sold first!

The jets won't fit The PHBG uses smaller jets -the threads- (5mm) than the stock "Mikuni type" (6mm). This one time at band camp... lol I did drill and re-tap a PHBG once so I could use my larger 'Mikuni' jets to tune it and not have to wait on jets in the mail.. shh don't tell! (It worked out fabulously btw!)
