Im helping a buddy get his Sense 2 stroke running, the distributor did some warranty work a while back and butchered the engine! All the screws are damaged so only a chisel can remove them!A screw was left loose in the magneto area and it got between the stator coils and chewed them up.looking for a stator that'll fit this machine, anybody have a lead?? Thanks! John

Alpha Sports...pricey but they have all parts in stock. Sorry, I just checked Alpha and it seems they no longer carry what you need. Maybe try looking for a stator for Suzuki scooter. If you have a part# maybe try Alpha by email to see if they can order one.

Thanks!I looked a bunch last night and it seems the only way to get a stator is buy a whole magneto!flywheel too!I have the stator and flywheel and will check the crank taper and stator bolt spacing hoping I can find a more available fix than have this poor guy buy an entire mag..

I downloaded the service manual, seems to be a one-off design!I am going to hand wind the stator coil, looks like a lot of the dirt bike crowd is having good luck with it,so here I go!!Thanks for looking jimh!!!

I'm probably teaching Granny to suck eggs, but remember that the tighter and neater it's wound the higher the output will be.

Thanks Luke,Ive never would a stator before!Talked to my electrical engineer buddy in length on coil winding yesterday,he said 'dont expect the finished coil to look as neat as the factory coil',but it should work just as good.He told me how to splice the wire as it WILL break, keep the leads long as they may need swapping, different final coatings,etc,etc..I'll post some pics when I get started on it..

Good luck buddy, it's a very time consuming task. A Christmas holiday project, I think!

Made my winding machine with an old cordless drill, some perf angle,a socket that fit indide the wire roll for a spindle, fabed up a turning fixture and got to winding; I would stop every few minutes and spray some clear enamel on the windings to help seal it,ran out of the 200 foot roll about 2/3's of being finished, back to radio shack when they open up..

I like how you don't give up. If you can't find the parts, make them.

Got another roll of wire after the snow and now have a total of 400 feet of wire on this little coil!I soldered the wire ends to the lugs and coated the whole mess with a non metal type of epoxy, looks kinda ugly,,hope it works,I'll keep y'all posted!
