I have a second jog I am going to begin building. It was the first jog I owned and it has been hacked to pieces.the fuel tank is in the wrong place, the seat mount is from hell And it going to be a lot of work just to get it back to normal. I have an engine ready to go( almost, I am going to do some port work and get a new exhaust, possibly build one. Want a runner of course) or maybe I should just drive without rear faring, would be easier than putting everything back to original location..opinions welcome and appreciated.

I actually liked the pre-bug Zumas more than the Jogs (had two of each). I grew to like the vertical setup and by trimming away the bit of plastic under the seat I could quickly get to the carb and engine by just removing a few screws and the gas tank- even change the top end pretty easily with engine in the scoot. The pre-bugs are absolute wheelie machines! One had a Leo Vince ZX and the other a LV GP and both wheelied on demand with 70cc kits. I especially like the carb-on-cylinder setup and how the carb comes out just over the CVT case for easy access. I found the Jogs to be cramped and not nearly as willing to do wheelies... EDIT: I also had a bugeye Zuma and nothing special really- they're larger and heavier so no wheelie fun

I wouldn't care about looks and spend rather more time in building a proper engine. It's way more fun to blast everyone away with some old ugly jog than a ricer which was only assembled instead of built.

If you stick with the Jog, don't worry about the panels. I have more fun on them when not worried about panels and it's a lot easier to work on everything. You've already got a Jog that looks really good, so you might as well have one that's more about function and ease of use.

Yeah and you'll prob have more fun from a functional scoot than a showroom piece.

Ok, thanks guys. Good solid input. I just don't like how low the seat is, guess lower center of gravity is better anyway. It has been decided..more to come.
