Hello - Just wanted to introduce myself to the board.

I ride a well-used 2011 Tao Tao 50, recently returned by my daughter after two years of daily use in Gainesville, FL (she has moved on to a 2007 Honda Metropolitan that I now maintain).

The Tao Tao is stock as far as I know, except for a replacement PD18J carburetor, manual petcock, and fuel filter that I did two years ago when we first purchased the scooter. Overall it has been mechanically reliable with only regular oil changes, but the body panels and seat are in rough shape from the sun and abuse from the thousands of other scooters at the University of Florida. Mileage is unknown, speedometer hasn't worked for almost two years but I just fixed that by straightening the soft metal teeth inside the speedometer gear sending unit.

I hope to paint it (any suggestions on paint?), rebuild and restitch the seat, and improve the suspension/ride quality, if possible.
