My best advice for your build would be to let ideas roam around your brain, build it over and over again in any different way you can imagine. Dont throw away any suggestions even those you might not like or that you are sure you wont be using. Dont be affraid to think outside the box. Some stuff you have around might not be scooter related, but it might come in handy. Google is your second best friend; the first one is 49ccscoot.com. There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers and a those i'll happily provide.

You're gonna love the sound of that pipe. It deep but not too loud. Mix matched wheels, going for a scrapyard look?

Suzuki Choinori (チョイノリ) would be fun to tune. 39kg weight, 2hp only but that can be changed. Very few body parts to remove. And very very cheap to come by.

Definitely different! Be sure to install those cooling shrouds before running engine. Can kill the engine very quickly without them. For some strange reason there seems to be a certain group of scooterests who think it's cool/fashionable to run the scoot without those shrouds?? I have no idea why they do it- but the kid whom I bought my first scooter from was one of those who ran with no cooling shrouds. As a noob I ran it like that for the first two weeks! I couldn't figure out why I was having such overheating problems and a real badly warped cylinder head, losing compression, etc. Then I found this site and got edumacated! Scooting is funner naked!
