Wanted your opinions on this one.. Ruckus CloneIt's a Dongfang 150cc Ruckus clone scooter. Apparently in pretty much mint condition with 72 miles. Hasn't even been registered yet. The guys wife bought it for their kid when he was in 8th grade, and now he's a Senior in High School. Not worried about carb issues as I can fix that, but he says it does run but the battery is weak. I can get it even less.. Probably around $500 or maybe even a little less than that.. I've not seen it in person yet, but I'm assuming it's a GY6 engine.. not sure though. Just curious what you guys think. I've been wanting a Ruckus clone to do some mods to..

It has a title but has not been registered yet, so it's more or less like a brand new scooter.

Looks to be a 150cc. Low miles. I bet it's a fun scooter and fast! He's avoiding showing the muffler/right side in the pictures so it may have an issue. I had a 50cc version. They sit up pretty tall which I liked. You would think the open frame design would make it really easy to work on but you can see in these pics that in fact you have to remove the entire seat/frame piece and then the floor board and the piece above the engine to get to the carb or valve cover. Not a big deal

Was looking to possibly drop, stretch, etc.. I know it doesn't fit most Honda ruckus aftermarket parts, but would be fun to play with.

Parts from Mad Dog scoots may be an option. www.icebearatv.com/Maddog-SeriesI'd use the sale money to take my kid to a psychiatrist if I gave him a new scoot and he put 72 miles on it in 3-4 years. I may be a little scooter crazy and in need of care myself though.

Bummer the way the front end is on those you can't just push the fork tubes up to lower it.

I'm really thinking the new 2015 Ice Bear Maddog PMZ150-20 150cc would be pretty cool. Trying to find a good seller that doesn't want an arm and a leg for one is a different story..

Who in the heck would get a ruckus clone?..oh me. got the 50cc version , now bbk etc. Etc. Running 130/70 12 on rear ,120/70 fron tmini apes , old school chopper tailight & signals. Sorry im not a stretch person I like the ability to turn without slowing down . Kinda like the bobber feel of this scoot. Being a 150cc would be a bonus imo.
