Is that a 58? Doesn't look big enough for a 62. Could be the photo.
What are you using for a fuel controller?
What size injectors?
Walbro fuel pump?
Where's your intercooler?
Any dyno numbers?

Walbro fuel pump? Where's your intercooler? Any dyno numbers? The turbo is a t3/t4 50 trim .63 A/R I still have the car, just some issues that I'm working out right now. I'm only getting about 3.5v everywhere on the harness as opposed to the 12v I should be getting. So there's either a short somewhere in the harness or my tune is acting wonky. As far as fueling and injectors, I'm running 440cc bosch green giants and the tuning company is Unitronic. Fuel pump is good to about 400 crank hp so im good for right now. And I haven't dyno'd or ran it at the drag strip yet. But I can get to 95-100mph on the on ramp to the interstate! Lol. Here's a pic of the intercooler   |

I have a TT225 engine in a Jetta at the moment! Kinda fun to see a 1.8t on this forum! Nice one, mine has a K04 and it's burning rubber through all the 1/8th of a mile of the local dragstrip. Can't imagine with a t3/t4

Which year is your car? Maybe the good time to swap in an AWP engine harness and ECU to get the wideband and else if it's a pre-2002 harness like mine. If you don't find anything, PM me there is a big VW junkyard I can find some parts not too far from me.

Very cool man! Throw up some pics! And it is an 02 with an AWP engine so I'm already covered there. Just waiting on some cash now so i can buy a new harness. 95% sure there's a short in the harness.

If you are waiting for cash, why don't you try to splice the harness so you can get a look at those wires ? Keep some tape or the T connectors where they need to be so it's easy to do a clean job after. Mostly on spots where the harness looks like it has been squeezed. The engine, when I picked up my GTI. My mechanic sold me the engine at first but he got that shell with no engine so he put it together. Pretty messy, needed some work.   When in one piece:  But well, rust made it's way where repairs have been done to the frame (rebuilt car, not a clean title) and it was cheaper for me to buy a new sheel than repair every problematic bits on the car which were related to a bad job when they rebuilt it. So I did.    I will post pictures when I'll have it cleaned. I just made it run today and I have broke wires while putting it back together, so some more work and I may be able to go to Eurokracy meet with it on Saturday. I love scooters too, but it's more than $300 to drive it for like 4-5 months (plates) then insurance. My scoot doesn't go on the streets so daily > weekend warrior. |
