Has anyone ever had a scooter decal replicated. I managed to salvage the side decal from my Derbi Hunter. The decals are virtually impossible to find due to the age of the scooter and the rarety of the Derbi brand here in the states.I was wondering if it could be replicated by a graphics shop? Thanks for any info.

If you could find a high res image of the decal online I think you could get someone to print it.
If you can't find it, take a picture of the decal flat against something (hold the camera perpendicular to the decal) and I can create you a raster image of the decal (As long as its just text or something not too complicated)

I put the decal on my scanner and made a copy on plain paper. Luckily it is no longer than the page.It is slightly faded. After all, the scooter is 17 years old and has been neglected by the previous owner(s).

Well if its just like something simple I can make you a vector trace of it and color it in.
will have infinite resolution basically and be nearly identical to what it looked like to begin with

If you google Derbi Hunter, you can see the images and the decal that says "Hunter" with the words under the logo that says" dual purpose" on the side. The decal is kind of transparent allowing the base color of the scooter to show through but it has a sort of shadowing in gray.It may be too hard to reproduce it exactly. Maybe I can take it to a local shop to get an opinion. Thanks

Bottom is the original decal from my Derbi Hunter that I carefully removed before the resto. The top two are the ones made by Omar at the Daytona Beach Flea Market while we were on vacation. Omar is a very talented young man. If you happen to get to Daytona Beach,be sure to look him up.

I feel your pain when it comes to those Derbi parts. Too bad that Omar cant print up some body panels as well!
He did an excellent job and I appreciate you sharing. Not that I'm headed to Daytona anytime soon, but I now know that there is another option for stuff like this.

I got tired of the missing emblem on the cvt cover,so I made this out of some carbon fiber vinyl sheets that I had laying around and some Wally World lettering from the stationary department.I sprayed it with a clear coat which seems to be holding up well.
