Opened the thread, left for a few hours, came back, refreshed page and "thread you are looking for is not here"
doesn't appear anywhere in the recent posts...

EDIT: just checked brent's build thread and all the recent posts are GONE
on one of my threads half the posts are GONE too
something weird is happening with proboards.

Sounds like a database restore from yesterday or earlier today.
Can happen if the SQL server takes a dump. Not sure if that's what happened, but I know that it can.

I just got ready to post in my build thread and realized posts were gone. I looked on proboards support not too long ago for an unrelated issue and kept getting errors with any search in their help database. I just went to proboards support and they say they're tracking an issue now that could be causing this. It's happening to many forums.
