Waiting on some parts to come in. I plan on doing a pretty detailed build tutorial with pictures when I get everything together and some time to do it. Realized today that I don't have a castle socket/wrench. one more thing to wait on.
I think I decided on a color scheme finally and will have some photographs of that process as well.

Volvo too man... I had a Volvo station wagon. In-line 5 cylinder. Fuel pump went out and that was no fun to fix. Expensive pump too. I loved that car.

Just received my parts from STG. A9 cam, 44mm stroker crank, 49/17 final drive gears, 50mm piston/jug, #95 MJ for Kehin carburetor.. From China - el-cheapo RPM gauge. Various other parts - 15k contra spring, 1k clutch springs, OEM rear clutch assembly.
Waiting on - Castle nut tool, Impact wrench, Camera tripod for documenting project.
I'm not going to rush anything with this build. In the past I would have been far too anxious and ended up installing the components I could right now. I'm going to have everything together before I even start. Debating whether or not to order a new oil pump assy.

Rings are too big for this kit. 52mm rings (gap closed). 50mm jug. Glad I opened it up to mess with it. Sad face.

Got a cheap china tach in the mail Saturday. Installed it yesterday. Scoot idles at 2500rpm. Maxes out at 7500rpm/43mph (average).
Someone tried to break into my mailbox and now my key won't work. So pissed off. I know those new rings are just sitting in there along with my castle nut tool an I can't touch it til tomorrow. Stupid ass people these days. I hate thieves.
