Yep. Low sided pulling into my driveway yesterday Got some road rash and a pretty big chunk of flesh taken out of my right arm. Just started raining so I turned around and headed home. Came into to the driveway just a tad too fast and the scoot slid right out from under me. Must have caught a rock or something on my arm. No stitches just some peroxide, Neosporin, and bandaged it up. I'd show some pics but its pretty gruesome. I've got to invest in a decent riding jacket. I was wearing a t-shirt. Lesson learned. Wont go riding without some sort of jacket anymore. Take note to all you non-jacket wearing riders! Sweating is better than injuries!

Glad you're mostly alright. I started wearing some gear after my first crash too.

Glad to hear it was just a little flesh sacrifice to the scooter gods and not something worse! Glad you're ok.

Thank you very much guys. I wanted to get a motorcycle and my girl is just COMPLETELY against the idea. After this little accident at like 10 mph, I don't really want one anymore either. lol. I can't imagine what it'd be like taking a spill at say 80mph on the freeway or something. I'll just stick with scoots. If I need speed, I'll just get in my TT. If I ever fix it. Ha.

Glad to hear your ok, but a word from the wise. You shouldn't fornicate with scooters or any other type of machinery. And definitely not with farm animals either.
Sorry couldn't resist making a pun off the subject typo. But seriously glad you're ok. Give blood, Ride street

I find that the soot is hard to wash off.
On the other hand 'learn by doing' is not a healthy way to learn about a riding jacket. They say gloves are good also because it is natural for people to put their hands out to protect themselves. I still have scars on my hand from a simple face plant on a concrete drive. I still don't wear proper riding gloves. I use those mechanix gloves from HF. I do have a decent jacket though. It is a Pilot from STG and cost me 10% of the price for my scoot. I wear boots made of leather and 'ballistic' nylon but no riding pants. That will bite me someday.

After about the third crash, you either learn how to crash, or give it up. Or if you're hard headed like myself, you die trying....

I have crashed twice already but at very low speeds like the OP. Nothing really injured but my pride. A little road rash, and rash on my scoot didn't amount to much. Not releasing the steering lock on my trike makes it push real bad.

I was definitely a bit "gun shy" jumping back on the scoot, but I just jumped back on the very next day to get rid of that. I've also got a 3/4 helmet that came with the bike, so I want to get a full faced pretty soon. I'd love to get some of those kevlar lined jeans. $$$, though.

Glad your not hurt too bad. Use it as a lesson and get some gear Must say my first real ride on a scooter was when I picked my Jog RR up. Had to ride it 10 miles home in the wet. was an eye opener coming from bikes. First couple of roundabouts was going much slower that I would on a bike. Has some serious front end slides. No weight on a scooter front end really wants to make them low side.
