yea my first big drop was on a kz 1000 ltd doing about 60 in the rain only got a small bit of rash near my elbow the slower the speed it seems like the more the damage I dropped my scoot at about 15 and just a few pebbles in the hand sis dropped a scoot a 5 and got rash on elbow and shoulder so go figure for everybody its different lol

Six years ago I had a broken arm and dislocated elbow, doing five miles an hour!  |

yup i just got off the ground. asshole decided to roll a stop sign! it just got done raining. i was doing 35 and loxked both breaks, hit a patch of black tar slick when wet patching.
i slid for long ways along the side of my scooter. scratched the paint, grinded down my main scooter stand, the thing that sticks out. im tired of these reckless drivers. the scooter kept on running, didnt have to start it.

I've had bad road rash before, on my temple, elbow, upper back and knees. Going very fast on a racing ten speed, woke up in a hospital < no helmet. I wear a helmet now, thankfully it didn't get cracked. My head never went below a foot above the ground. I dunno how the hell Brent road in February with snow, think it was feb. |

I dunno how the hell Brent road in February with snow, think it was feb. I would have been in trouble riding on snow/ice if anyone or anything pulled/ran out in front of me. It was squirrely at times just trying to go straight. No way I could react to anything with quick movements or braking without going down. Sometimes (often) I do things that aren't smart. At least I'm glad to hear you're alright. I've surfed on top of a small bike once when I thought it was a good idea to go fast through wet grass and it went sideways and over. It does suck messing up the bike/scoot, but I'd take that option every time vs me hitting/sliding on the ground. |

don't know about others but when ridding in snow I always keep my feet out like skis to help keep the bike in the upright position it does help but does not keep you from doing 180's on the road LOL but that is the funn of winter riding

Ok now don't laugh at me but a couple of months ago i was coming home from work and a damn possum ran out in front of me and i hit the brakes a little to hard and crashed. Ended up with goughes out of my knees and ankles, 2 black eyes and other facial bruising, 3 broken ribs and my shoulder broke in 2 places. Haven't been able to ride shooter yet due to injuries

Please look into some gear, at least a helmet, when you're ready to get back to riding. I don't wear tons of gear like I should, but at least protect your head IMO.
